I draw well but can't draw without seeing anything.. i think i lack creativity .. what should I do? Edit: by the way, i love pencil shading and pencil colour but when it comes to drawing potrait.. i always use grid.. so is it wrongto use grid? I mean I have seen many good artists to use grid..but i am not sure (currently i'm 16 years old and I genuinely love to draw or maybe colour)
Practice memory drawing.. see an object like an apple keep it in mind, it's shape, width and then sketch out the outline and practice this often so u might be able to draw from imagination or let's say without reference, you can refer to these 2 channels I recommend 1- draw like a sir, 2-mmmmonexx and practice anatomy . Hope this helped❤
