I owned that Razor scooter about 10 years ago. So it’s not surprising that the new models were much better. The only credit that can be given to the Razor is that it was the first of its kind.
I bought my daughter the razor and it only worked for about a week and it broke. I wired in a new control module and it only worked for about 5 minutes. They are junk!
@@CriticalThinker02 you are correct had I used "are" ; however using "was", (being a questionable "proper" sentence), takes the place of "are". You are right, "they're" would've been a better choice. Good call! Have a great day and stay safe!
@@CriticalThinker02 well now you have me wondering as the original comment used "there" and not "their". Least that's what's on my device and no edit to show its been changed. I enjoy the challenge of proper english structure in a sentence. Thanks!
I have the xprit one without suspension. It's a little cheaper but everything else is the same. For just going around the neighborhood it's great. Not a ton of power but beats walking. Hills are tough, but for the cheaper price it's fair.
DO not estimate the battery level by just riding to consune one line. When the battery discharges, it's voltage drops and the motor draws more current(dscharges faster)
I'm giving "unwanted" advice for people like you that, as it turns out, know nothing about electronics and after you get a scooter after watching his video and it doesn't behave as he describes it will start shouting at him. No youtube video it's perfect and wanted or unwanted help are always welcome. If you do not agree, come with a solid argument and say it in a friendly way. Thanks
The scooter I use is the mtricsoto s10. While a less common choice I find it’s pretty good over even slightly bumpy terrain. If you are on smooth roads it is fantastic! Turns are a breeze. Swagtron ain’t got sh&@ on this scooter. Still it’s 300 bucks. But it’s a steal in quality and a great everyday option. Oh I forgot to mention the grip taped wooden base will have you secured on it. The mtricsoto has these beat, 15.5 even 16 mph with momentum.
I have razor black labor A5, so far I have it for 1 day, I didn't charge it for full battery life, it was 30 min of non stop riding and 15mph speed, I was riding 1 hour and still had some battery left, was not fully charged either and it was -3°C, bad for battery, I mean you can ride it for almost 2 hours, I use my scooter not all the time gas, once I hit max speed and go off hill I release the throttle
I think your XPRIT just came with a slightly damaged battery which is common with all cheap scooters. Read amazon reviews on Swagtron as well. It depends how long it sat in warehouse. Lithium batteries start becoming damaged when they're empty. Longer they're left dead the more damaged they become and will produce less amperage and hold less energy. Anyway the XPRIT is supposed to have 100W more than Swagtron. I think you just got a great battery on the Swagtron and not so great battery for XPRIT. Buy those things is like rolling the dice.
apples and oranges comparison with the Razor, Lead-Acid batteries vs Lithium makes all the difference. I currently have 3 Razors that work awesome for my kids, ride around the neighborhood no prob, the E300 I got my son Carries me pretty damn fast even weighing 210lbs and they last over an hour with a 2 12v 9ah batteries
Thumbs up for this video! I love the fact that you test the scooters to the limit. I would love to see a comparison between Ninebot ES2/ES4, Xiaomi m365 Pro and the German Wizzard 2.0 or 2.0s. Roughly same prices so would be good for comparison.
Thank you . I have been toying with idea of buying one of the machines for ages . You give a good and fare demonstration report on all three . Also thanks for giving an idea [ in the review ] of the "actual price . So many reviews never mention the price . This fits my budget . I will consider seriously now of buying one . Thanks again for your trouble .
I have a Razor E300 from 2016. At the time, it was the best around. Razor recently released their EX-R which is a E300 that has been upgraded to 2019 scooter standards.
99.9% sure I had a razor e300 14 years ago. Have a look at the battery, it's like a car lead battery, and a shitty mid motor, not meant for high drain. I don't know how they're still in business! Its was pretty bad 14 years ago
The Razor is a speed limited toy for kids. However, it is built like a tank. I bought an Uberscoot 300 (ES04) for my youngest, because I did not want a speedy scooter. But the lead acid 24 v (2x12v) batteries and 250W brush motor make it a dog when it comes to torque and hill climbing. So.....I bought a 350W (24v) motor that fits (just) in the same mounting as the OEM motor. Cost: $50. Big difference coupled with greasing the chain and inflating the tires for range over comfort. Next, a 12000 MAh Li-ion battery pack with BMS and LG batteries. Cost: $70. Also, a 24V 500W controller (less than $20). No welding, no soldering. Pure plug and play. Nevertheless, a decent machine for under $400 total. Top speed...nothing great, at under 25kmph. But it has decent range and can climb hills home...which is right on target for me. If you want to increase speed with this chassis...then a higher voltage (e.g. 36V-48V), Li-ion or Li-Po battery, and compatible controller are required. Also, a higher gear rear sprocket (less teeth). Going to 500W means some welding and grinding to fit the larger motor. Raising the deck to fit a larger battery is also possible.
Yeah for sure! Thumbs down for razor. But you notice also on Craigslist that you won't find used scooters like, swagtron, uberscoot, dualtron, mototec. Now that's what I'm looking for!
The Razor is lead acid and will take a long time to charge. They can be replaced with lithium and will reduce weight. The Razor is a heavy duty machine. Me , I ride a Kaboo.
