If u watched wat he said on his live, Nawat said, after the closed door interview, the fight was between the two - india and philippines. So it wasn't just in the finals that he liked CJ - it was her whole performance thru out the whole journey of MGI that made her stand out. It was her realness and charming personality that made her beautiful in his eyes and convinced him that she deserved to be on the spotlight as one of the last two standing... Both Rachel and CJ exuded beauty, confidence and skill beyond everyone else. It was just a matter of a smart decision who to pick in the end - and only one had to win the crown. And in fairness, all agreed it was India. Congratulations🎉for a well deserved win and an entertaining edition of MGI - definitely worth watching the whole season of it this year👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Great video sir Adam! I also love how invested the pinoyd were but we wwren't micromanaging CJ. Yes we voted, but we let her do the work for us. CJ's campaing is a stellar example of what a pinay queen should be. She will forever be iconic. To follow her up, we need a beautiful, tall, moderately popular BUT KIND AND ACCOMMODATING woman to succeed her. I think it really helped CJ that a lot of candidates chose her to win. She was most likely really kind to the rest of the org too, and showed them that she was ready by being participative and proactive.
6:00 Rachel did have a business aspect, it was quite evident from her closed door interview. Hailing from the family of doctors and businessmen n being a businesswoman herself, she knows what business is !!!! She has grt ideas of how to expand mgi.... Moreover she launched her own product before the start of competition.... I don't remember any candidates or winners from the past taking the business aspect so srsly!!!! So the very statement that " she didn't hv a business aspect" is very much wrong ❌ !!!
if CJ gave a better and more concrete final answer, she could have won. CJ answered in an abstract way. india won because she gave a specific answer with examples in a persuasive and inspirational way. CJ was also inspirational, but her lack of concrete examples made her answer less strong than India’s answer.
Rachel comes from a well known buiseness background,working in entertainment industry and she mentioned her vision also in interview if she wins how she will promote mgi so it's clearly wrong saying that she doesn't bring the business aspect on the table
5:30 - I absolutely agree that Rachel Gupta gave me a Miss Universe aura. Even after seeing her evening gown performance and Q&A answer, I asked myself why they sent her to MGI. As for CJ, I believe she should have been crowned because she embodied Miss Grand just like how Rachel embodies Miss Universe. I see myself in CJ and she was definitely in her element. It didn’t feel like she was a representative who was trying to change into something else.

I think Nawat really see who he wanted to be crown because he usually interact with the contestants. He takes time to observe the candidates on and off the camera. Nawat truly saw how authentic CJ is and her personality glowed through out the competition. Rachel was indeed very pretty, smart and she truly deserved the crown. Props to CJ and her team for the three days preparation yet delivered so well. I hope that the next MGI Philippines Queen had the same thirst and conviction that CJ had.

I think another realization with MGI is that our past reps (at least in their respective batches) were not "grand enough" to make even the first cut. We've seen now with CJ, that as long as a candidate rises above the stiff competition, as long as she is a cut above the rest, she will be given what is rightfully hers. Realizing this point of view, pageant vloggers have already started to post their wishlists: Gabby Basiano, Yllana Aduana, Anita Gomez, Celeste Cortesi, Gazini Ganados, to name a few who can have a strong chance and fight head-on in the next edition.

#4 and #5 hit hard #4 - it really takes a rare strong, well-rounded candidate to unite the Pinoys and this is something that happens every year. It happened with Cat, SamBer, Michelle. Pinoys can be very stubborn fans, so winning them over and making them somewhat "behave" better is something that only a very special candidate can do. And #5 - love MGI or hate it for its contradictions and the cognitive dissonance of its owner (his actions vs. the "advocacy" his pageant "champions"), they have always been a "devil may care" pageant. They take no prisoners and just do not care whatsoever as long as they are able to provide a wholly entertaining show. They openly embrace and cause controversy and don't pretend to be the good guys. They know exactly what people think about them and capitalize on that. Any publicity is publicity, and they shamelessly put their name out there. Classy? Hardly. But grand? Definitely.
There is such a thing as RABID Aggressive fans. They have a blindspot for other countries, and a softspot only for their country. When your country doesn't win... its a Cooking Show. When your country does well (regardless of the quality), the pageant is favored once again. Maybe the fandom IS the problem. That's my lesson from all pageants!

Agree with what you said about India's body. I didn't like her body, it is not fit and doesn't have curves, more like a masculin body. She looks well only in gowns but not in swimsuit. She gain the title with the other qualities: facial beauty, brain and business. Unfortunately this year no lady posessed all the 4Bs and they have to choose one with the most strong 3Bs.

Honestly, while we may have a love-hate relationship with this pageant, at least Nawat is upfront about what he wants and what he doesn’t. He doesn’t pretend to champion ‘inclusivity’ like some other pageants while acting otherwise. Nawat knows what he wants, and that makes MGI an unapologetically in-your-face pageant-not one that’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Additionally, votes are FREE.

I think another realization with MGI is that our past reps (at least in their respective batches) were not "grand enough" to make even the first cut. We've seen now with CJ, that as long as a candidate rises above the stiff competition, as long as she is a cut above the rest, she will be given what is rightfully hers. Realizing this point of view, pageant vloggers have already started to post their wishlists: Gabby Basiano, Yllana Aduana, Anita Gomez, Celeste Cortesi, Gazini Ganados, to name a few who can have a strong chance and fight head-on in the next edition.

#4 - it really takes a rare strong, well-rounded candidate to unite the Pinoys and this is something that happens every year. It happened with Cat, SamBer, Michelle. Pinoys can be very stubborn fans, so winning them over and making them somewhat "behave" better is something that only a very special candidate can do.
And #5 - love MGI or hate it for its contradictions and the cognitive dissonance of its owner (his actions vs. the "advocacy" his pageant "champions"), they have always been a "devil may care" pageant. They take no prisoners and just do not care whatsoever as long as they are able to provide a wholly entertaining show. They openly embrace and cause controversy and don't pretend to be the good guys. They know exactly what people think about them and capitalize on that. Any publicity is publicity, and they shamelessly put their name out there. Classy? Hardly. But grand? Definitely.

There is such a thing as RABID Aggressive fans. They have a blindspot for other countries, and a softspot only for their country. When your country doesn't win... its a Cooking Show. When your country does well (regardless of the quality), the pageant is favored once again. Maybe the fandom IS the problem. That's my lesson from all pageants!

Agree with what you said about India's body. I didn't like her body, it is not fit and doesn't have curves, more like a masculin body. She looks well only in gowns but not in swimsuit. She gain the title with the other qualities: facial beauty, brain and business. Unfortunately this year no lady posessed all the 4Bs and they have to choose one with the most strong 3Bs.
