QUICK!!! Put the screws in!!!! Yep, love how changed your statement "Well, 2nd hardest thing to do..." I knew immediately what you were going to say... "Put the cover back on".... LOL, you did quite well. I am surprised you didn't talk about the slider pin position (lower right) how it determines the failsafe/failsecure state of the lock.
Have one of these locks in a commercial business on the bathroom. It recently locked and the emergency key is not able to unlock from the outside. Seems something has froze up or failed internally so for the time being we are not able to gain access to the bathroom. Great video but trying to figure out how such a lock can fail making the door impossible to unlock.
Currently working on a L9050 with a thumb turn and locked /unlocked indictor on the inside, and keyed entry on outside. Having trouble with the timing and not sure if I'm using the correct cams on the mortise thumb turn and mortise cylinder lock. The thumb turn came with factory cam 30-001 and a Schlage L583-255 Cylinder Cam for IC. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thank You in Advance.
The instructions should be printed on a sticker on the lock case. If not, you have to remove the handing screw and put it on the otherside. It's the screw closest to the hubs.
Love how he explained it in depth.

Hey, how do I reverse the door handles, so it lock on the outside, the one I ordered, while locked from inside you can open the front the outside ?

Whats the difference between this one and an L9040-44? Will this one work in place of the L9040?
