Doune Castle, Doune, Scotland

This is a video created around my visit of the Doune Castle in Doune, Scotland.
I visited it on August 25th 2023 and exactly one year later (better later than never) I can show the collection of impressions (mostly videos, but there also are some images) that I had during my visit.
The Doune Castle not only was a real castle built in the late 14th century, it has also been a shooting location for films and series, most notably "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" and "Game of Thrones".
As some people might know, I am a big fan of Monty Python.
So was my father, who - unfortunately - passed away just three months before my visit of the castle.
I would have loved to share my experiences with him.
Instead, this video is dedicated to him.
There is no spoken commentary, instead I added explaining subtitles.

Are those tourist tiles put to walk on or original castle tiles from a castles owner later upgrade😮sorry for the sad loss of your dear father .my father and I used to love his hometown castle at Kidwelly wales as also some Monty pythons film scenes done there very complete castles these so no wonder in films .
