I like Eric's video format (not only the Legends Only coverage but also the regular videos): it is not too condensed like a lot of other bouldering videos. Seeing the climbers struggle and fail and talk to each other (in addition to seeing them succeed at difficult moves) really adds to the videos.
I swear megos is the most entertaining climber ive ever watched. Its funny to watch him climb xD

I agree...nice thing about Eric's videos are: they are about the climbing, not about the damn commentators face/talking and a bunch of lame fancy edits with flashy music that don't give you an experience into the world of climbing or the personalities of the competitors...EK show's us climbing nerds what we want to see - the inner circle...keep it up EK

Jimmy Webb climbs at my gym. It's so crazy to see him in this video because I've been a subscriber for a little bit. Weird to see him real life and on a youtube channel I'm subscribed to.
Where is that gym lol? He was at my gym for a halloween event a couple weeks ago.
It's tennessee bouldering authority in Chattanooga, Tn. He use to work there but now just trains and sets sometimes.

In a "normal" competition, like the IFSC World Cup, would they try the problems before the actual competition? I get that this is Legends Only, but what about the other competitions?
No. Legends is more about fun and entertainment than the comp itself. They get to try the problems first so that they can set harder problems that are more entertaining to watch as they are a lot harder.
This is AMAZING to watch. Grades of the problems? Guessing a couple of these are 8b/c level for sure...would be really cool to know the grade of the white as well as others...

After watching the comp (and hannes brushing in between attempts) commentator mentioned 7b+ easiest (first one) to 8b (blue and white ones) - crazy strong dudes. Love to see an episode of you guys messing around on them! You know you want to... haha

In Legends Only they get to try the problems out first for a bit (some things may change though) so that they can build even more insane problems that are more entertaining to watch. :)

As someone new to climbing, can anyone give me a quick overview of legends only? It doesn't seem like a regular comp, as usually they don't get to practice the climb first! Do they just have the one day to learn the problems? How does the actual comp work? Cheers!

The format has changed somewhat but usually the climbers set the problems them self with the help of Klättercentrets routesetters. They are harder than the worldcup problems because the climbers get to try them before the comp. Rules during the comp follow the standard format. Hope that helps.

That's just some taping. It is supposed to help with loosening fascias, combat inflammation and such, even though Jongwon Chon (the climber in question) is using them almost always (as do many other athletes in different disciplines).
