How is it possible to lose 62 bhp in 5 years ???? the stock Lp640 had ( around 635 BHP ) and this one with lighter exhaust and produce 578 BHP ???

The numbers produced by dyno testing are wheel horsepower (whp), not base horsepower (bhp). Base horsepower does not account for the significant drive train loss.

Why is it that it's only putting out 578 when it's an LP640... for the 640hp... I'm sure there's a simple reason I'm not realizing but how does that happen? haha

+Darren Williams They are factory rated at 640hp at the crank. Drivetrain losses account for the 578whp number we registered, which is around 20-30whp more than they put down from the factory.

No it is not. It is the stock look on the older Murcielago, not on a 2009 LP640.
