What a throwback. As a current viewer, I got excited when I saw the African Clawed Frog in the thumbnail. Unfortunately, it wasn't true that you had finally gotten one of the goofy little guys. I definitely believe they are a great species, my favorite aquatic frog, because they have so much personality and are voracious eaters. I think you'd enjoy them.
My 10g decided to leak one night and a few months later I'm finally past some executive dysfunction and I just really appreciate you laying out all the steps so clearly!! Thanks :)
Great video. I just shared your video on one of my groups. I’ve resealed two 125 gals and a 48.5 tall gal. I would add when using the silicone to work quickly because it will start drying. Plus remove the tape as soon as your are done with flattening out the silicone with your finger. I found this video by watching your videos on terrariums and paludariums. You’re one of my favorites right now 🥰 and I became a subscriber.
Great informative video - very clear and well presented. You have a great presentation style. How old were you back then when you made this? You have a great deal of knowledge about this and present so well but you look quite young. Also, at what age did you get your first tank?
So 2 questions 1. with the terrarium do you have to have a complete seal or is it okay if it's glass on glass? 2. Do I need a pump for aquascaping no fish just plants?
I just got a 55 on marketplace. They said it doesn’t leak. But looking at the caulk it definately needs resealed. There are a couple areas that make me think it need to be taken apart and re sealed. I’m nervous to do that by myself. I maybe just worrying but it looks like old algae or something is in the join area.
Partially for a glass aquarium. Silicone is also put in between the panes of glass and this is actually what hold it together. This process protects that silicone. Acrylic aquariums are built by melting the pieces together using acrylic cement.
Aquariums are never filled up that much so there's no point. If you look newly manufactured aquariums they will almost never have silicone in this area.

What type of Silicone did you use?
what a great video!
What do you suggest for cleaning white water marks on old tanks?
would this method work in the building of an aquarium?

thanx (=
Why didn't you seal at the top edge of the tank?

Lol come do my 2 tanks and help me set up a sump in 1 lol
