LOL, this is funny. 65 years old and got his first crockpot. Most get one when they get their first house/apartment. I think his next big purchase will be an "Easy Bake Oven" They should have them in the toy section of Walmart. That way they can make cookies to go with their carrots and potatoes LOL. I’ve got a roast cooking in my crockpot since this morning that I bought in pristine condition from Goodwill last week for 6 dollars. It should be good to go in about an hour or so. He could save so much money buying “gently used” stuff. But the snob in him will not allow it. 😂😂😂😂

I've been a crock pot specialist for a loooong time.... many many years of working a prison job(s) ... crock pot vittles /tupperware and a lunch box with an ice pack= $$$$ saved in the bank .
BTW- my crock pot is from the 1970's with the heavy 6 quart pot.... it's a boat anchor.
That’s exactly what crockpots are for. It’s so working people can come home to a hot dinner. Tim Tam has nothing to do but keep an eye on the stove. So they don’t need a crockpot, or any other gadget for that matter.
I still have a 1978 model, heavy duty six quart that I still use today.

My neighbors use a small crockpot for li’l smokies in barbecue sauce at their New Year’s Eve party. It’s good for that, and I imagine it would be good for nacho cheese sauce, or any kind of sauce that you want to keep hot until it’s served. But it’s no good for a meal.

I come from a family of 8 boys 2 girls when I bought a house and did a kitchen redo. Lost use of my kitchen stove. My sis asked what I needed for Christmas I said crockpot. I got 6 crockpot for Christmas. I still have 3 in boxes unopened. That was 50 years ago almost. Lived out of crockpot six months. The redo of kitchen was pay as you go.
