    I watched a retirement liberty run once with a little chestnut gelding that had carried his little girl from 9 to 18 years, faithfully and with immense success. He even carried her at Scottsdale a couple of times!
    She took his tack off for the last time in his career and there wasn't a dry eye in the place as he circled the arena! Finally it was time, he slowed, she put on his halter and walked him out to thunderous applause! It was a wonderful sight to behold.

      @@PetPrepRadioShow I get a lot of comments on this channel that are very educational but most of them do not tell about the background of a particular horse. The high tail set you mention is because his tail has been docked. Cut off so that it doesnt have a natural curve but rather goes straight up.

    • @MagnificentHorses
      @MagnificentHorses  7 місяців тому +3

      No, that is actually incorrect. Arabian tails don't need to be docked. I've heard they do that with Tennessee walkers but it's unnecessary with Arabians.

    • @xScooterAZx
      @xScooterAZx 7 місяців тому +1

      @@MagnificentHorses Interesting,as I've seen it done. Arab tails still have the small curve at the end of their tails and it is usually removed. Im old,so maybe they no longer remove them,but it sure looks like it. :}

    This show doesn’t respect the horse as a creature of this planet. They come in the arena upset and full of fear. Their only thought is flight for his life. For the pleasure and amusement of the crowd. Presented as rouged mannequins. The goal to make much money. A very questionable way to see horses and not dignified of horsemen of the 21t century. Your mentality get stuck in the early 20t century.

    • @MagnificentHorses
      @MagnificentHorses  9 місяців тому +4

      I like how much you are concerned for the horses. But I can tell you that they are some of the most pampered animals on the planet and their owners love them dearly. I understand how you might think they are in such fear when they go into that arena, but they grew up with that And know what's going on. There are many signs from the horses to show that they are not being terrorized.
