    This video is a life saver. I couldn’t figure out some of the parts I needed because when I purchased my car it was an R title, but the dope that rebuilt it didn’t do it right.

      That is the trick with a rebuilt title vehicle. You don't know who did the rebuild and how well they did it. I'm glad this video was able to help you out.

      I'm glad my video was of service. It does make a dramatic difference when you get the front clip rebuilt and the car looks right again.

    exactly what type of 7mm bolts are they?

    • @MazdaB3K
      @MazdaB3K  8 місяців тому

      How do you mean? Normally a bolt has a hex head. Can you expand a little bit on your question?

      @@MazdaB3K at 8:42 you talk about a 7mm bolt, i’ve looked online and i keep getting different results, such as ones with tread, without tread, etc. I’m just wondering what you are talking about specifically, like does it matter? or is as long as it’s a hex 7mm it’s fine. sorry, I’m new this type of thing

      So the bolt(s) in question are going to be Metric, hex headed 7mm bolts. The tread you are referring to would be thread pitch, and that does matter. I don't remember the pitch on these bolts but (very) generally thread pitch can be broken down into coarse threaded (less threads per inch of bolt) and fine threaded (more threads per inch of bolt, more gripping power). Now the terms coarse and fine come from the SAE bolt world. Metric uses various pitch numbers to indicate the number of threads per inch on the bolt. If you don't have a bolt on hand or can't grab one from a junk yard, you are going to need to pick up both pitch numbers for a Metric bolt of the correct diameter and give them a try and see which one threads in cleanly. Here's an article that breaks it down a bit better:
      gowesty.com/blogs/article-library/fasteners-sae-vs-metric-what-is-coarse-and-what-is-fine
      A website I use to pick up weird and hard to find metric bolts is www.belmetric.com.
      Good luck!

    So from what i see I can replace my radiator support without removing the radiator right???? I was like man im going to have to pull them appart i see its just a plastic cover basically. Mine was cracked on a minor accident nothing fits the same

      To pull the rad support you have to pull the front clip off. As long as you remember two to plastic tabs that bolt the radiator to the support at the top, you should be carefully remove the radiator support. I don't think the condenser is going to stop you either. Remember the rad support also connects to accessories, headlights, the washer fluid tank, all sorts of stuff.

      Depends on how you get the parts and if you do the work yourself. I spent around 200 dollars in parts because I got them all from a wrecked Fusion at the junkyard. I did the work myself so I didn't really have a labor fee.
