Hello :)- I have been a resident of Las Vegas for over 14 years now. It is absolutely astounding to me how IGNORANT people are before moving to Las Vegas. I have been a rideshare driver in VEGA$ for 10 years now and if I got a nickel for every time I met someone who told me that they moved to Vegas "just because". I would have been a millionaire years AGO!!!! Do your research and quit depending on the fact that you visited the $trip for a weekend and decide that YOU what to make this YOUR fulltime living situation. The average person who moves to VEGA$ barely lasts 18 months and even less who stay for 36 months!!!! FYI that a huge generation of folks will NOT last in LA$ VEGA$!!! Good Luck!!!!
Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. This is why I make these educational content so people considering relocating here have information they need to make their decision!
Thank you for posting this video Kaori. I've visited NV, and AZ and absolutely loved the low humidity as someone currently living in the south where the humidity can easily reach 100% in spring and summer, not fun. I've considered retiring in either AZ, or NV but have also heard stories of water shortages, and the heat getting worse in the future to the point it would make it extremely unliveable. Is this accurate, or exaggerated?
I enjoy the low humidity too, especially coming from Japan where we have high humidity summer 🥵🔥 As far as water shortage goes. We have always been mindful of our water conservation efforts here in Las Vegas for the last few decades. We've also had a lot of rain and snow in the winter months. I don't think personally it's getting hotter every year...
It makes me laugh when ppl complain about the heat here. NEWS FLASH! Its hot everywhere in June/July. I have lived in MI, NC, FL, AZ, NV and Vegas has by far the best yr round weather than any of those states. Yes its hot here, but in NC it's hot as well, maybe not quite as bad but bad enough to be very uncomfortable. 88 degrees w/80% humidity is HOT, and I guarantee you Carolinans are complaining in July just as we are. Even the midwest has a few hot days in July. 2 and a half hots months a summer is not bad ppl.
Bullshit! Las Vegas is HOT HOT. Let’s not Bullcrap ourselves. NC gets hot and humid like MIAMI. Las Vegas gets hot starting in April till like OCT. that’s why people complain.

Gated golf community in NW? The only course in that area is Shadow Creek and that course doesn't have any residential area. And golf courses are NOT replacing grass with artificial turf. They are removing some grass that is not in play. Lastly, as a resident living in Summerlin, the strip might as well be on another planet. The only time we venture on to the strip is when a visitor wants a tour of the strip. Even then I avoid the strip by telling my guests to go there on their own. Trust me, the locals hit the strip probably no more than they have to as the traffic is terrible, prices are outrageous and services suck with snooty servers with attitude.
3:00 I LOVE that white interior in your Tesla. Wow, that looks gorgeous and classy. I just noticed your car interior, your clothing and YETI cooler are all color-coordinated. Oh, I guess I should post a con. If you have a pool, the frequent windy days means that you'll be spending much more time and effort on pool maintenance, removing dirt and debris. Maybe not as bad as the haboobs that plague Arizona, but still very annoying.

Great video. I lived in Vegas for 10 years and hit the important points. Also, I have noticed no talks about how hard the heat and dryness are on vehicles.
I was thinking of moving to LV because some of my friends did. But it looks like the cost of living isn't much less than here in the Inland Empire. There's nowhere that's affordable anymore without working insane amounts of overtime.
@@chadwickerman I went to UCR 🎓✌🏻 Thank you for reaching out from the Inland Empire. What's your median price home there? We are in the $450Ks, but you can still find adorable townhomes under $250K. Let's connect!
@@KaoriLuxuryRealEstate median house prices are over 500k. I was just looking for a place I can move to and rent an affordable apartment and not have to have roommates. After a few hundred dollars of HOAs a month, most townhomes aren't really any more affordable I would think?
I lived in Las Vegas for about 8 years and the cost of living just keeps on creeping up and up. So I decided to move back to California. The cost of living in California is pretty much in par with Southern Nevada. Plus can't go wrong with great weather in California.
In my opinion, the cost of living in Las Vegas is still much more affordable than California. Especially the taxes! You are easily saving % for no sales tax!

I'm thinking of buying an SFR in the Vegas area. I've been looking at Spring Valley and Richfield. How is owning the rental in Spring Valley? Is the neighborhood okay? I've seen some areas in Vegas that are not good.
Good information but Las Vegas rents and home prices are half of what is in LA. Yes the weather is torrid during the summer but only slightly higher than the San Fernando Valley 😢
Just watched your video. Very informative. You're spot on regarding all those topics happening. Just bought a place in Summerlin, so if you have any insights into that area, i would sure appreciate it.
For most resale homes is it acceptable to install solar panels to offset your electric bills? What are problems you might face when installing solar there I know about HOAs but what about the city?
Sorry to hear that you feel that way. I love living in Las Vegas! It's been a wonderful experience for me and now I get to help relocate those from other states!
