I wish there are more like Don Bosco and Padre Pio to confess these days. It's a struggle to make frequent confessions especially weekly when the priests are hesitant to accept you. Every time my conscience needs me to go to confession, I'd always hope and pray that there will be a new different celebrant priest so it's not so embarrassing for me to approach especially when I just had my last confession in the past week. My resident parish priest just told me that confession is supposedly just 'once a year'. A pierce torn my heart hearing it and told myself silently, 'what if I suddenly die and I have sins that I haven't confessed cuz I waited for a year?' instead of that supposed to be my weekly or monthly confession could have saved me from damnation...
Go many times as you need
Wow, pray for your priest. He is in need of our prayers 😞
Have you tried going to other local perishes? That’s what I do when I don’t want to go with my parish priest. Even if it’s 30min away from my home I’ll go for the sake of my soul.
I got to different churches for confession 🙏
Bros and sis, can you give me some tips on how to not be ashame or fear to confess to a priest about dirty sins about lusts..
Don't be afraid to confess these things. No doubt the priest has heard much worse things than anything you can confess. @@JustinNoypi-yx1mx
Love his advice to confessors to never scold and the penitents to go as many times as you need too!
Saint John Bosco pray for us.
Amen
Amen
I think it would help to follow 5 ways to grow in holiness by St. Pio. 1. Daily scripture; 2. Examination of conscience 2x ✌️a day; 3. Confession weekly; 4. Meditation daily; 5. Daily Mass.
This!!!
this is awesome advice; thank you!
St. John Bosco, pray for us sinners. Amen!
Amen
St. John Bosco please pray for us and for our priests, who are our spiritual guide here on earth... Amen
Amen
I had a very bad confession with a Priest who was rude and judgmental …….I had to go to another confessor to confess my resentment. lol…….but I do go once a week because I want to be in a state of grace at all times……..then my prayers will be answered more readily……and they are!! I love confession……..
I'm sorry you experienced that, glad it did not deter you
If I ever have anything like that, I always chalk it up to God testing me to be sure if I'll be faithful even if I have trouble. Though one time I did have a very stern confessor, but in that case it was the medicine I needed and I did break the sin.
When we go to confession. Our prayers surely heard by God. I thank God for his mercy and blessings ..so many prayers answered prayers and favors bestow on us
ST. PADRE PIO: “You must have boundless faith in the divine goodness, for the victory is absolutely certain. How could you think otherwise? Isn’t our God more concerned about our salvation than we are ourselves? Isn’t he stronger than hell itself? Who can ever resist and overcome the King of the heavens? What are the world, the devil, the flesh and all our enemies before the Lord?”
The reality that makes human beings and fallen angels (far superior) yet infinitely more different, is confession and repentance.
If you ever wonder about this marvel, thank the Blessed Trinity today for your humanity despite all our shortcomings, and praise Jesus and Mary now and forever!
That is a new way of understanding confession as "food" like Holy Communion. Thank you. Monthly is tough.
First time I heard it explained this way as well.
Oh yeah! Finally got confirmation on what I've been doing. Thanks for sharing this! ❤ Frequent confession is the best! 🙏 Spiritual "dirt" really builds up within the week and needs to be cleansed regularly while doing our best to keep away from all kinds of sins.
ST. TERESA OF LISIEUX: “It is not because I have been preserved from serious sin that I lift up my heart to God in trust and love. I am certain that even if I had on my conscience every imaginable sin, I should lose nothing of my confidence, but would throw myself, my heart broken with sorrow, into the arms of my Savior.”
ST. PADRE PIO: “I trust Jesus so completely that even if I were so see hell open up before me, and find myself on the brink of the abyss, I should not lose confidence. I should not despair but continue to trust Him. Such is the extent to which His meekness inspires me.”
The Parish I belong to has 4 priests. Sometimes other priests from other parishes will come to help (ex. Easter ----many people want to go to confession before Easter). We have confessions 30 minutes before daily mass. Sometimes there are 2 or 3 priests hearing confession. Sometimes 1 or more priests will remain to listen to confessions during mass if there are still people in the confession lines. On Saturday, we have confession for multiple hours, with several priests listening to confessions. Often 1 or 2 priests will remain listening to confessions during mass if there are still people in the confession line/s. ----- Reading so many comments, I have to say I am very grateful to God for my Parish and our priests and deacons. I wish everyone's Parishes/churches had this.
Thank you for sharing. May our Loving Lord bless you.
Thank you for sharing this with us. ☺ May God bless.
Thanks for listening!
That better be you Adrian we're glad your back and hopefully feeling better. God bless you
I'm all good thanks for worrying about me
Thank you! God bless🙏
Thanks!
Thank you
I have found that, when going to the Sacrament of Confession, offering it up as an intention for someone or some particular need. The results are near miraculous it seems. Why do you think that the results are quick and exactly what is needed, when offering up our Confession for a particular intention-need?
Maybe it's because in the Sacrament of Confession you are humbly aligning yourself with The Will of God to the best of your ability.
Jesus said that whoever hears His Words and does what He teaches, "Whatsoever you ask of The Father in My Name, it will be granted to you."
I have experienced miraculous answers to prayers through Rosary intentions and Holy Mass intentions, as well as simple, non-formal prayers from the heart in Jesus' name.
Going to confession is like a little pilgrimage that requires temporal and spiritual sacrifice, humility, penitence, and the resolve to sin no more. I think you are right that we should also offer up this sacrifice, in the same way that we do other sacrifices and sufferings, to atone for sins, and to petition for intentions that align with The Will of God.
I will be doing so as well.
Thank you for the suggestion, and God Bless You...
Please, friend, would you please pray for my daughter Maddy that she be filled with God's grace and to come back to her loving family safe, unharmed, and quickly 🙏 she is walking a path away from God 😢
@@Grinny1967
Said a few prayers for you and your family. Please say a prayer for me and mine. ☺
Thanks and God Bless...
@kevinquinn1993 will do, and thank you! God bless you 🙏
SOUND ADVICE TO SAVE OUR IMMORTAL SOULS
Thank you
You're welcome
I really got alot out of this video!
Praise be to God, I'm glad to hear it!
The 2 local parishes near me will not take a confession by appointment. Its been a very long time and theres a lot that needs to be said. I will try other parishes outside of my city.
Wow, praying you find a reliable parish
Mother Angelica of EWTN said that if you die with a mortal sin on your soul you will go to hell. The Blessed Mother saw the souls of young people falling into hell like drops of rain. What about the boy who died with a mortal sin on his soul because he was embarrassed and sat at the opening to hell until Don Bosco came and brought him back to life to make a good confession?
My favoritite Saint John Bosco thank you love you . ST JOHN BOSCO led me to God AND MAMA MARY . LONG TIME AGO I ASKED WHO IS SHE...INDEED SAINTS AND MAMA MARY ALIVE. Answrrd prayer
SAINT JOHN BOSCO, ORA PRO NOBIS !🙏
The priest is a representative of our blessed Lord Jesus Christ and should not be a judgemental attitude.
Confessing regularly and readily makes us feel closer to our Lord, who instituted the sacrament of penance.
Amen
I wish there were a way to KNOW you're making a complete confession. Worried about sins i may have forgotten.
forgetting a sin cannot invalidate confession, only omitting sins on purpose
Thanks for the works ! Wanted to ask if Saint John Bosco ever spoke/wrote about the Divine Will ?
Thank you for this video. I would love to get more information how to understand Scrupulosity? Especially when a person knows a venial sin is a sin but yet still choose to do it. Would that be mortal sin?
No, there are certain criteria that is required for something to be a mortal sin. It must be done with full knowledge it is against the Will of, it must be grave matter, and the individual must freely consent to the act. Nonetheless, this should not convince anyone to forego Confession nor regular Holy Communion (if mortal sin, do not commit sacrilege, please).
Good question! I wonder too🤔
You got it! Will do a video on Scrupulosity. As to the venial sin question, only if you commit the sin out of hatred for God would it become mortal and even then it would be the sin of hatred for God not the venial sin. Don't worry, be at peace.
I pray to father bosco for holy priest holy conessors
If only priests made times more convenient for confession these days.
Unfortunate state of affairs, ill admit.
Pray for many more vocations.
Dose St. John Bosco have any advice about scrupulosity and confession?
He does, I'll make a video on that for you
How are we sure we forgive ourselves
Because You are alot more at Peace Within Your Heart Claire.🕊️❤️🙏🪔

Not everyone feels comfortable with a face-to-face confession with the priest due to the familiarity of the parishioner with the priest/pastor. I'm one of them.
Here's a question: where do we get from Our Lord giving Peter the power to forgive people of their sins, to anyone other than Peter or the other apostles being given the power? I can't see in scripture that The Lord said this power can be passed onto successors, Maybe it is there, that would be useful.
John 20:21-23 Jesus breathed on the apostles, told them to receive the Holy Spirit, and said that whose sins they forgive are forgiven.
He gave Peter the keys to the kingdom of Heaven, making him the head steward, in a parallel to when God assigned a new steward for the kingdom of David in Isaiah (22:22 shows the keys imagery).
We see apostolic succession when they replaced Judas Iscariot with Matthias. And also Paul tells Timothy to be wise in who he lays hands on to ordain.
""James says in 5:14-15 that if a sick man receives anointing from the elders (Gk., presbuteroi, from which we derive the English word priest), the man’s sins will be forgiven. The context in James is clear: God alone saves the sick and forgives sinners, but God has chosen to use human intermediaries-priests-in order to administer sacraments like the anointing of the sick and reconciliation""
Confession: St. Faustina would pray before Confession that the priest would be graced to know the FULL extent of her heart and be able to guide her by advice that Jesus himself would give the priest. Many times she wrote this act of prayer request, Jesus would grant.
It would bring her great peace to have her heart FULLY understood by the confessor.
- Sidenote: I sometimes when the priest is running late to show to hear Confessions, will send my guardian angel to both the priest's Guardian Angels. I ask them to inspire the priest to arrive quickly to hear Confessions. It has never failed. ❤ God is good, all the time.
-Fr. Chad Ripperger also gives this advice: When receiving penance in Confession (if the penance be small) ask for a larger penance. For the longer you pray your penance the stronger the sanctifying grace becomes. So the next time you get an " One Our Father, One Hail Mary " ask for more. Or ask for a rosary 😉 You won't regret it in heaven.
- Peace be to you beloved ❤
I remember getting scolded in the confessional once- I also think it was a case of mistaken identity.
Go figure.
Jesus, thank you for for giving us most Holy Shower to wash thev stains on our souls. ☘️
CAN YOU PLEASE DO A VIDEO ON HOW DON BOSCO WOULD CLARIFY PRUDENCE? I TEND TO FALL INTO SCRUPULOSITY & EXPERIENCE FEAR OF COMMITTING MORTAL SIN BY RECEIVING THE EUCHARIST IN SIN. Thank you.🙏🙏🙏
There's really only one rule for confession, sincerity. Let your confession be one of the heart which is where it counts. When Jesus Christ addressed the pharisees, he was addressing their hearts which were filled with iniquities and unrepentance. Outwardly they certainly appeared to many as sincere having long fasts and many long winded prayers all supposedly in the name of God. Jesus knew better, he knew that all they did was for themselves and not for God (Like their father before them) hence why he didn't take a single one of them seriously, When I read the gospels I get the impression that he'd avoid them if he could because a heart posture like that attracts negativity.
In confession, is it necessary to specify the types of sexual thoughts, such as fetishes, or is it enough to say that I have sinned against chastity in my thoughts?
It took me years to find a priest for confession
Are
Our priests and bishops have shown to be useless
Everything is so bloody complicated makes me want to just study the Bible and forget all the rules and advice. Interested in Catholicism but stressed out from it too.
it's really quite simple, do good, avoid evil. If you do evil repent by confessing your sins and be brought back into right relationship with God. You can do it! I believe in you!
It only seems so at first. The spiritual life is a journey not taken in a day, you will overcome any fears, just don’t stop moving forwards. You can do this, Christ made you for it
Follow the 10 Commandments, and a Wonderful Saint to read and have Intercession with is "Saint Therese of Lisieux " The Little Flower."🕊️
❤️❤️❤️🙏🪔 🕯️🕯️🕯️
I felt the same, but I am telling you that confession is the best way to heal and repent. After confession, I feel my burdens are gone, and my conscience is more alert to any kind of sin. Be brave and forget the human pride and believe that God mercy is bigger than any sin 🙏🤲.
Beautiful advice to heed. My problem is finding a validly ordained priest,as the novus ordo church and its new rite of ordination that completely is void of what pope Pius XII stated as necessary.
Isn’t it true that the priest must hear your confession if possible?
C and you mske atoment for your sins in confession
let me ask you, wich confession you think the priest is valid from? whovere in the diocesis , traditionalists, sedevacantists? does there need to be prudence in the choice of a validly ordained priest, or you think is a less important thing? Una-cum, non una-cum? You keep up the channel telling about S. John Bosco, great. Would you tell me your position about authority in the Church after the last revolution inside of it?
*Nether the human body, nor its EVIL spirit, is "LIFE The Real Self", an Offspring and Child of "The LIGHT", "The LIFE of GOD" ! From "The Gospel [ ACCORDING TO ] John", in chapter 1, verse 4, Quote; In Him ( GOD ) was LIFE; and the LIFE was the LIGHT of Men. End Quote... Here is what JESUS had to say; From "The Gospel [ ACCORDING TO ] John", in chapter 8, verses 43 to 46, Quote; 43. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.... 44. Ye are of your father the DEVIL, and the lusts of your father ye will do... He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it... 45. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not... 46. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? End Quote...*
Demonic lies!
Forgiveness is thorough CHRIST ALONE
Christ is the one forgiving by the ministry of the priesthood who stands in persona christi
this is complete nonsense....
Thanks!
Thank you!
