protip: you can adjust the needles with the battery and ignition on. I have connected and disconnected the gauges countless times with battery and ignition on.
Hey man - super helpful video! Did you have any issues with the RPM needle after install? My seems to move much less smoothly from 4-5k rpm and can sometimes desync from what the HUD says
Yes I did for about 4 on off cycles but they've gone away / recalibrated themselves on their own. On my buddies his was off cause he moved the hand but just manually adjusted back and his has been ever since as well.
did you ever fix your issue? I had the same thing but it was because of the shape of the gauges. Pushing them in too much would cause my needles to get stuck.
One was but I fixed it by just turning the hand . Easy test is plug it in and see if your needles go-to right spot if they do just adjust it by where it is upon startup
@julionino3734 leave the cover/plastic off and adjust accordingly . Only way needle moves is if it was touched during removal. It should reset itself though after a few cycles . My buddies took about 8ish cycles or so
@@Jewnbug1ok going to do about 10 on and off cycles casually driving it through out the week, if it’s still doing it I’ll do what you said, it’s ok to do this while the car is on/running if so?
@julionino3734 you can do it sitting in parking lot. I wouldn't adjust needle while on. Just mark where it was first turn off than lower it till when you start its where it needs to be
@PausePz it should eventually self set. Mine would be good for a few on off cycles than fall below zero than correct itself than mess up again. But after a few on off Cycles it fixed itself. Should it not do it just pop off the front shield with car off and adjust the needle a few notches wherever from where it sets itself on start and it'll lock in .
@ I’m gonna try that right now but I think the stepper motor broke for the MPH gauges. The dial on the MPH gauge feels loose no matter what I do while the rpm gas and temp have some resistance. Should the MPH dial feel loose then you try to spin it?
@pstaff19 yeah doing it a few times usually fixes the problem what I'd do is keep the cluster cover off and just plug it in not fully install so you can adjust the hands accordingly if they are slightly off and just rinse repeat till back to normal
Love the intro " every time I see this car, just makes me smile 😊😊"
Thank you very much ! I'm working on making better videos.
It's a lot easier if you use two spoons to pop out the needles and the rings. Trust me. The spoons have the best control
I vouch for this
Looks great!
Thank you !
Mine are on the way as well!! Thanks for the great video!
Sweet! What color you go for
Ive got some of those exacr gauges for my yas marina blue m3. Thank for the video. I even got an extra housing

Going to attempt mine today! Did you need to disconnect battery first?
I did didn't but you probably should
Can i buy a spare cluster to do this? Would i need to reprogram it ? Will the Odo self correct

@@Jewnbug1 Got it thanks. Did yours seem to get stuck or not move so smooth high in the rev range?
@@NicholasMSmiff nah never any of that . Just do a few on offs and it should sledge adjust the needle

@@Raider1805 Yep! That was my issue as well, finally got them all sorted last weekend
When you removed the needles gauges still accurate? I did mine and the gas gauge is off :(

@@Jewnbug1I’m having the same issue, my RPM starts between the 1 and 2 and hovers at 3 when at idle.

never remove arrows like that, if if don't want to damage stepper motor
I'm struggling at 10:44 ANY TIPS?
Push your pin or edge against it and it'll back out . Once you get one to fo it the others will be easy
@@Jewnbug1 Thank u it did work, hard to get the gauges back to 100% but should be doable.
use a small tool to get 1 edge in first, and use your finger to PUSH while holding the other side in at the same time.
Thank u so much again but some of my needles are falling below zero point, would this just be a case of readjusting after plugging in?@@Jewnbug1

Hey I did this but now only my mph moves and not rpm
Just means you pushed the gauge in top hard. Pull it out a bit

What do the honeycomb ones glow like at night ?
They look extremely nice almost total opposite in color at night
Would’ve been nice to see how it looks at night
I did mine and now my rpm gauge doesn’t work
You must've rotated/moved the arm by mistake. If so turning the car on and off a few times will fix it self .
@@Jewnbug1 just really scared now because I’m thinking I’m gonna need a new cluster
@@pstaff19 you don't need a new cluster . Just double check you have everything plugged in. Be patient and double check your work.
