Maddi Thank you for your comment and question! The story behind this piece is the story of Beyond the Clay wall. I knew what a double wall bowl looks like but what does a Triple wall or Four Wall etc. On this channel I'm documenting the journey to that question as I develop novel techniques and approaches toward the possible. On the channel you can find three and four wall vessels. This piece uses an approach I developed call Twice Thrown, as well as an "X" Joint where 2 parallel walls are fused at a point. As to Form and Function I do strive for an aesthetically pleasing result. But the major thrust is discovering the possible. Please feel free to ask me any question. and I appreciate your comment! What's the story behind this piece? It's really blowing my mind and I'm curious about its function.
Nice work!
