Arcane is one of the best shows ever not just in animation but in general. The story progression and character development is top notch
The best thing about the show that I liked are the details, references, and parallels and overall the fact they make the story uncomfortably emotional by giving a happy ending in an alternate universe but then you realise it's not in the original plot and ekko sitting alone at the same spot where they kissed in the alternative universe is depressing.
It's like they knew how to mentally traumatize their audience
@@MAGGNOT_ E7 was as perfect of an episode I've ever seen. Ekko's character arc is one that I get teary-eyed thinking about. I wish we got to see him and Heimerdinger discuss how impossible his predicament was. In an arc all about forgiveness, could Ekko forgive himself if he decided to stay in his Utopia? To live the perfect life and abandon everything he ever knew?
To think it's made from awful, extremely competitive, toxic moba game
The twenty one pilots is the best band in the world so these two combined is THE BEST
@@amazingfool1653 Can't really blame the game itself for that. It's an extremely competitive game which breeds toxicity. I've played the game for so many years since it came out, quit like 5-6 years ago though and I avoid it because it brings out the worst in me. The game itself is good, but more so the lore and world they've slowly built over the years has just some insanely good potential. The show(s) and upcoming mmo can make this world into something incredible.
The show ARCANE is rich with MENTAL health content. Plus the show is beautifully made in all areas
He could do an hour long video talking about everything that happens in episode 3 💀

@@donovanmartin7946 I literally havent started any new shows since I last watched Arcane cus I just knw any show tht I start now will nvr be as good as Arcane.
@@donovanmartin7946 "The void gets smaller, but you never fill it" ill never be the same person after watching arcane, some things change you forever.
this song literally describes jayce and victors relationship in this show, this is probably how victor feels with jayce and the same goes with jayce
It also describes what's happening with Viktor in the scene where it plays. One of my favorite sequences in the show.
it sure apply to Viktor but i really think it connects even better to Vander/Warwick, certais parts can really be applied to viktor, but the whole thing is very more consistent with vander/warwick POV
@@PedroLuizCaetanoCarvalho not really it literaly describing victor evolution (final form) and how he is leting down people inlcuding sky
It is more on Viktor then Jayce. Jayce doesn't really cross the line except when he blasted Viktor and refuses to destroy Hextech at the very beginning. Viktor on the other hand have done a lot of things that cross the line. "Healing people", "Attempting to healing Vander", and then he went with Singed and Ambessa which when he way beyond the line. He also letting go a person that he actually love besides Jayce which is Sky. Sky even says that Viktor won't miss talking to her cause she doesn't matter to him. This song really sums up who Viktor really is and what he actually have done.
thinking about viktor and jayce makes me feel ill. i hope they ended up somewhere nice
I started this show yesterday because of twenty one pilots and all I have to say about the show is WOW. Luckily I was off and I finished the whole first season 😅
Is it really that good? I've been thinking of watching it because of the song too, the art style looks amazing
@droidy7351 its the best animated series in atleast this decade its beautiful
@@droidy7351 it is! and musics and songs used are on another level just like this one! and the scenes where they use each one of them are also spot on!

@@droidy7351yes 100%. The plot is beautifully written and the artstyle and direction are stunning.
In a video that played before the initial premiere, Tyler gave some insight as to what ‘The Line’ is about.
To summarize:
He first began by speaking on how he could never really write about something that he himself doesn’t have a connection to. (When he wrote Heathens for suicide squad he also made it personal) He was reached out to by an Arcane adjacent group who wanted to know if he would create a song for it. At the time, coincidentally, he had just lost his grandmother.
“Being there, knowing this is it, this is the room it’s going to happen in. This is where your life lead you.”
He wrote deep from the heart, I believe the story is from the point of view of someone who quite literally is “on the line”.
Lyrics like “Did I disappoint you?” and “Stay your pretty eyes on course” are so beautifully painful.
As far as watching Arcane to understand the meaning, while I do believe it’s a worthwhile watch with rich storytelling, it won’t give you much further insight into what the song is about aside from being able to apply it to the relations of the characters (also incredibly heartbreaking).
Tyler is such a great storyteller, Twenty One Pilots never fail to cement themselves into our hearts as the best band to do it :,)
Thank you for the summary of Tyler's introduction. I missed it but am glad to read this. ❤
@@rachelmorgan6759 ua-cam.com/video/5UniIVuLmc8/v-deo.html
The song is open ended and meant to have multiple meanings or applications. That being said, it was in fact created for Arcane, so it would actually explain what's happening in the video and help put it into context. But I see what you mean. It's also a tribute to his nana, and that's why it feels authentic.
Its amazing how well this song not only represents the character development in the show so well but also has so much meaning in real life too i just cant help but think this song is being sung from the perspective of someone who is terminally ill asking a loved one to remember them the way they were before the disease took over their bodies. Its incredibly poignant.
I belive that this song is Victor song. Every thing match.
Tyler wrote this while thinking of his grandmother, who he had just lost, and it also matched perfectly for this show.
Tyler said right before the video released that the inspiration for it was his grandma who just passed - and that was who it was referencing at the end of the video
I got really emotional after because now crossing the line... It has a lot more meaning
You won't regret watching this series. It's one of the best written, produced and well-crafted shows imaginable. I'm not usually a fan of 3D animation or 2D hand-drawn animation because both lack the strengths that the other possesses, but the hybrid art style of this series exemplifies and raises the bar for both. The 3D characters capture the subtleties of emotion, without appearing uncanny against the beautiful backdrops painted by Fortische. We definitely need more shows like this.
I think what we really desperately need a reaction from a therapist of is "Wasteland" from Royal & The Serpent from Arcane!
Omg yes! Seconded big time! God that song hurts.
aaa you are so right!
Wasteland is depression in music form.
And ''Ma meilleure Ennemie'' from Stromae, Pomme is also something he should also listen to, its also from Arcane but I won't spoil the scene in which it plays for those who haven't watched the show yet. Its in french but a lyrics video exists of it and the scene that accompanies it in the show is also very beautiful.
@@Atlas718 100%, and if anyone hasn't looked up the lyrics for that, they need to
This is not a song, this is a epic lullaby that can calm even the hardest heart of stone, I love Arcane and Twenty One Pilots.
The show is Arcane, its the best show ever...
You could do a 2 hour long video talking about just everything that happens in episode 3 💀
100% agreed
If you’re a therapist, you should 100% watch Arcane. There’s so much trauma, so many shades of grey in the characters. It would be interesting to see your take on it.
Sounds good!👍
It's been four days since the last and final act of Arcane released. I listen to the music from the 2nd season and there are many moments where I still feel the tears well, the hiccup in my chest, and the need to sob. That's not even touching on the art, animation, writing, character development, story, plot, ALL of it.
Arcane is _devastatingly_ good.
Please, give it a watch.
You will not be disappointed.
You should read this the story is :
The relationship between Viktor and Jayce in *Arcane* is a dramatic focal point, reflecting a clash of ideals and ambitions, especially regarding Hextech. Here's an overview of their dynamic and its evolution:
### **1. The Beginning: Shared Ambition**
- **Jayce:** An ambitious scientist aiming to use technology to empower humanity, viewing Hextech (magical technology) as a means to achieve unprecedented progress. His goal is to improve lives by merging magic and science.
- **Viktor:** An experienced assistant and scientist from Zaun, a poor undercity. He shares Jayce's ambitions but has a more compassionate perspective, focusing on helping those suffering. Viktor sees Hextech as a way to transform Zaun and achieve social justice.
### **2. The Dispute Over Hextech's Direction**
- As their research progresses, major philosophical differences emerge:
- **Jayce:** Advocates for developing Hextech in a controlled way that benefits Piltover's elite, fearing the dangers of widespread use.
- **Viktor:** Believes the technology should be accessible to the poor and marginalized, especially Zaun's residents.
- These differences create tension, with Jayce leaning toward Piltover's council and distancing himself from Viktor's vision.
### **3. Personal Conflict: Rising Tensions**
- **Political Pressure:** Jayce becomes entangled in Piltover's politics, making decisions that favor the elite at the expense of scientific and ethical principles.
- **Viktor's Illness:** Suffering from a terminal illness, Viktor begins experimenting with unconventional and potentially dangerous methods to save himself using Hextech. He takes independent actions without consulting Jayce.
- **Loss of Trust:** The tension peaks as each believes the other is hindering progress-Jayce sees Viktor's actions as reckless, while Viktor feels Jayce has abandoned their shared ideals for power.
### **4. Reconciliation: Coming Together After Struggles**
- Despite their differences, they realize they need each other. Jayce reflects on his choices and sees how ambition blinded him to their shared values.
- **A Moment of Humanity:** Viktor’s illness and vulnerability push Jayce to attempt mending their relationship.
- **A Shared Hope:** They recognize that Hextech can benefit everyone if handled wisely. They reunite, striving to balance their visions.
### **Conclusion: Symbolism of Their Relationship**
- Viktor and Jayce's dynamic represents the tension between privilege and marginalization, idealism and realism.
- Their story showcases the complexity of human relationships, where ambition can divide friends but shared goals can ultimately bring them back together. 8:52
An excellent analysis 👏 ❤
Obviously ai written lol I can spot chat gpt
@@ajclifford53 How is it done?

Oh I love this.
What a beautiful thought! I sure hope so!
You should rewatch it with the intro of him explaining its about his grandma passing away! Would really color you into the meaning :) Its about love from life into death, not a romantic relationship
I think that was a 1 time thing? I don't see it anywhere

i would really like to see your reaction to this show, and your view on the characters from a therapist POV. Arcane is 100% one of the best shows of all time.
you would LOVE this series, trust me
its THAT good
You should ABSOLUTELY watch Arcane. Not just because it’s such an incredible show, but it also deals with so much mental anguish that I’m sure you’d be able discuss.
i need you to watch the Game Awards version, its absolutely incredible
It’s actually insane how insightful you are to the actual story for the show in the analysis you make. Not only is the show profound in the mental healthy themes but also profound philosophical and emotional themes. When people like me say it’s a masterpiece we’re not kidding. You get so much in 18 episodes and immerses you in a world so unlike ours yet mirrors so accurately.
This is a adaption from the world in the video game "League of Legends".
It may be the best animated shows of all time with beautiful animation, story telling, character development, etc. and it is packed with mental health content.
It has a quite unique setting and the characters and their interactions is probably the best thing in the show. There is also a lot of hidden stuff, parallels and details you won't notice on the first watch. It definetely is my favourite show of all time (until now) and it also helped me a lot mentally.
It's for a phenomenal "transformation/crossing of the threshold" scene where someone takes a personal risk in shucking everything he was and could be to put himself towards a single purpose he believes is right but made out of desperation
Tyler is a very beautiful artist and expressive composer and musician. Where was someone like him and his reach to those of us struggling with mental health when I was a teen? It takes one of us to understand and reach us on our level. I really need to check out this show! My daughter is a huge Twenty One Pilots fan and got us, her parents hooked as well.
Every episode has something juicy for a therapist to diagnose; whether its the music, fight scenes, interpersonal conflicts, or inner demons. There's something in this show for everyone: beautiful art, emotional music, spectacular fight scenes, relatable characters and their relationships with eachother.
Bro has never seen arcane but is breaking down Victor and the female scientist who loves him's relationship PERFECTLY. Great writing on Tylers part, a beautiful collaboration with Arcane showrunners getting the most out EVERY song made for the series over 2 seasons. Amazing. Not only did they do the impossible and turn a video game storyline into a GOOD SHOW/MOVIE, but one of the BEST ANIMATED SERIES OF ALL TIME.
4:00 YES You’re 100% on the right track for this songs meaning. It’s essentially about sacrificing humanity for a “perfect world” for the people he sacrifices. PLEASE WATCH THIS SERIES IT NEEDS A THERAPISTS LOOK AND BREAKDOWN
You should totally watch this show. Not only does it have amazing music, it also has complex characters and relationships. I would definitely watch your reactions to Arcane!
I AM DYING FROM CANCER AND THIS SONGRE RESONATES... I FEEL NUMB INSIDE

@@Laae934Sorry reality doesn’t work like that, wish it did though.
Having lost one of the most important people in my life, this song feels like it is sang from a hospital bed.
Don't remember me as I am now, remember me as I was. I don't know what will become of me. Keep going.
The tribute at the end broke me. It brought me back to that bed.
There are so many beautiful songs in Arcane
This song is about the character Viktor. He's amazing but very broken really. And his relationship with Jayce. It's so beautiful and sad!
I also took “did I disappoint you. will they still let me over, if I cross the line” as “if I take my own life will I still get to wherever the person I miss is. Will they let me there.” Beautiful song.
If you do watch arcane, you should do a full reaction for each episode. Lots of Trauma, and raw emotion across the entire series.
As you are a therapist, I can't in good conscience encourage you to watch this show. It will leave you devastated.
As a fan of Riot Games products, future-defining animation, phenomenal stories, and stellar music, I can't do anything BUT recommend it.
The amount of psychological insight that can be drawn from the series for analysis is incredible. 100% recommendable, especially when the analysis comes from people who study the human mind...
As one of ToP's great fans since the dawn of the skeleton clique and heavy dirty souls, this song really speaks to a lot of things happening in that scene. Without spoiling too much, it's about a few characters, two favorites of mine. A father, taken from his family to become something he never asked for. An attempt to bring him home, his desire for them to remember as he was, not as he is now. The worry of whether or not society would accept him even if he came back. And a transcendence, a merging of souls ascending for some higher calling and deeper connection beyond death. The scene of this video depicts the transcendence, the words depict the loss of those we love. Tyler never misses with songs like these.
You did an impressive Job of instantly picking up on the theme of the song without any kind of context from the show. Though not 100% on the mark with your interpretation (would have been weird if you were without ever seeing it) but still very close!
I also recommend to give Arcane a watch. Its characters are fleshed out immensely well, which makes them and their arcs feel very relatable, all the while taking place in an animated high fantasy world. The show as whole is a substantial piece of art both in regards to visual and musical art and amazing quality throughout.
The emotion that comes from watching the scene is incomparable.
The way you inadvertently described the relationship between 2 of the main characters in the show, without having seen it really shows how fantastic the songwriting is in this son, is amazing.
Arcane is filled with SO many details, so much symbolism, and so much love put into it. I am constantly reading of things I missed, even on my 6th watch through. Through the animators' and voice actors' interviews, social medias, and their own fan art, you can tell they're ALL passionate about the work they did 💓 I highly recommend it!!!
(Btw, this song is between two of the main male characters 😊)
Just found your channel but I'd DEFINITELY check out your reactions to this show! It's so good, and even more for a therapist, there's so much to gain from this, but to learn what you should and shouldn't do...
This series will absolutely be worth your time, the story, animation & music is top notch. As many others have stated this show is in my top 3 of all time. 18 episodes with each being 40-50 minutes each. I can 100% recommend it, I would also highly recommend doing a reaction series to it. I'd love to see your take on it 😄
there is *a lot* to unpack in the Arcane series. it will stay as a favorite. and this song still makes me cry.
You should watch the entire 2 seasons. It is an emotional rollercoaster, but it is so worth watching.
Tyler in an interview said that when Riot sent him a crude scene of what they wanted to depict in the series, he said he was excited for it but also was dealing with his grandmother passing away. "It was sad, but it was more than that though, it changed me" he said, "allowing me to tap into a more personal experience..". BOY do I feel what he meant there by the song; watching the entire series with all its music and meaning, subliminal or not its just refreshing how they depict SOOO many emotions.
Your analysis of this is beautiful...I enjoyed watching your video.
I would love to see you react to arcane! Both for your joy and your professional point of view.
Thanks for yet another great reaction.
Love from Norway
He wrote the song in 3 days when the show reached out to him, he's a huge fan of the show, but what made it so emotional was that it was a way for him to also grieve his loss of his grandmother that happened not so long befoor the Arcane creators reached to to him.
You should definitely watch arcane. Its such an amazing show!
I just want him to finish watching arcane and hit this part of the episode of the song
You should definitely check the show out, and react to more songs from it, its 100% worth it. Love your reactions
The line isn't only metaphorical death here. Concerning the show, It's also crossing into transhumanism, and wondering if there is coming back from that. "will they let me back if I cross it"
Bro there is a background sound of a ventilation breathing like darth Vader but more fragile. Holy details
❤❤❤❤❤ per usual, Tyler only writes what he’s feeling. It was inspired by being with his grandma when she passed. As a person who has been in that position, I love everything about this and hope I have someone with me that appreciates life and death this way when my time comes.
the ending of that episode broke me...
Your analysis without context is _EXACTLY_ what is happening. Well done
for those who don't know..this is essentially Clancy becoming a Bishop. He's telling the Banditos and The Torchbearer (Josh) to let him to go and don't forget him
Did you see Tyler’s explanation of the song? He made an intro to the music video. It’s about his Grandmother passing and him being there as she died. Listen again and you can see this song is his grandmother’s perspective of the end of her life. 😢
You don't have to know the game, because Arcane is a stand alone series that is just incredible. Animated or not, it's so well written, with great characters and story. 100% recommend you watch it. We wont tell you what it's about because it's such huge spoilers if you ever watch it, which you should.
I like this explanation too along with what I came up with. I can't stop crying to this song. Its so beautiful and sad.
YES Watch Arcane! It's such a treat, rich with stories, personalities, music, and deep themes. AND the visuals! You'll seriously enjoy it, even if you dont know a thing about league of legends where it originates from.
Maybe a series going trough the characters of arcane minds and how everything that happens could affect them and their way to see everything? maybe more about Jinx, the attachments of VI. I think it would be interesting to watch the opinion with a professional :D
Arcane is really the best content for a therapist react to, if someone would ask me, the emotions and trauma are so immersive because they put time on developing the characters in a way that feels human and real, you see on the way characters express themselfs the way they talk the face expressions are on point in a level that you forget that is an animated series in a fantasy world and of course the music and sound design is always there to support everything.
Knowing what I know of the show and hearing the analysis... My heart is now broken into a million pieces.
Never seen your content before, but mental health feels like quite literally the reason Arcane exists, I would heavily recommend a watch and would tune in to a reaction
As a therapist and someone who has studied mental health, yes you should watch Arcane. There is SO MUCH in there related to this kind of thing
Gotta do the live version from the game awards now
Dude for your channel, absolute yes react to Arcane both seasons. It will tickle your therapist brain for sure lol
I watched Arcane and the level of introspection and truth you have got out of this song make it even more impressive.
crazy how well you picked up on the message without watching the show at all.
when sky says to viktor, "no, u wont" and the song starts it all makes sense and is both, painfull and beautiful to see and hear
The live version at the game awards is honestly better than the studio version
That was insanely fast!
the show is one of the best shows of the history
Just finished it , its amazing ❤❤
Shout out to Paul Meaney too. He’s the invisible member of Twenty One Pilots.
You are not prepared for the emotional roller coaster that is arcane.
reminds me of navigating “my dad just lost his mom i think that everybody leaves”
every time i hear this song it makes me cry.. not in bad way, this song is a masterpiece.. so as arcane
Arcane not only has some of the best animation and writting but the music is incredible too. Def give it a watch if you have time
When/if you watch season 2 when this song is playing in the episode... You 1000000% understand how this song impacts the scene.
Definetly watch it! So much to Cover on this Show mental health wise. Maybe make it a reaction and Talk about your thoughts on it!
Watch the series. It's amazing. This song can be related to a few relationships in the show, but i think it's most pointedly between two friends that are like brothers.
The context is about a father scarred by their own rebellion and ultimately leading everyone to their deaths he then picked up whatever's left of the ruin he lead and decided to raise the children left behind he fought hard to keep them alive even paying the ultimate sacrifice only to be brought back as a beast that is only fueled by blood and savagery until he saw the kids again giving him a sense of what he was just to loose himself again in the beast while trying to kill his children.
"There is no prize to perfection. Only an end to pursuit"-Viktor.
Recommend Arcane, I totally would like more audience outside its circles to experience this masterpiece. Because its animation it has not reached all media niches, but Arcane is definitely for a mature audience more so than most mature shows out there, handling loss, forgiveness and mental health. This show respects its audience like no other, it does not hold your hand and never insults your intelligence. Il definitely check your content since I liked your insights about this video, here’s hoping I see you reacting to Arcane soon!
please make a reaction series about arcane i would love to hear your takes about it !
One of the best shows of all time in my opinion you'll be a fan by the first 3 eps
You should 100% watch this show, greatest animation series I have watched to this point in my life, and there have been a few.
9,5/10 would recommend.
YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS. This is a work of passion.
god I love arcane so much..
the series is REALLY beautiful
Please reacting to arcane wasteland 😢 amazing song
I feel like the song is both Viktor and Vander singing
the song can describle so much things, these lyrics are understable by a lot of people's experience. That's why it's quite powerful.
a
What a wonderful man's voice and beautiful melody
You really have to watch Arcane. Every single thing about it is really amazing. There is so much mental health talking points, you would love it.
This song actually has two meanings, one for the context of the show and I believe a portion of it was written capturing the feeling of being with his grandmother as she passed. With that in mine I think "the line" is intended as between life and death and also crossing the line figuratively in terms of going too far
I would love to see another video where you react again to this after you actually watch the show. The music was made specifically for the show so having context hits you even harder
Before anyone says anything, I know the creators put their own feelings into them and the songs stay strong without the context too. Tyler even said he only writes from his personal experiences and feelings and this song was no exception. But I still think watching the show makes the song so much more powerful
