wow you are the only one that actually explain the matter of the oil filter in this little garbage I spend more than one hour finding that they don't have an external or removable oil filter thanks for the info
Thanks for the helpful video. i am picking up a 2007 model tomorrow, and although the dealer says it has had a full service, i shall be doing the oil and filter. and checking everything else myself!
Awesome Video, Helped a lot. I has question - I'm riding the bike in fifth gear going 90kmh(56mph) at around 9000rpm then when I switch to 6th gear any sort of incline even a little one my rpm drops down to 6-7000rpm and of course my speed goes down fast and worse than 5th gear. I have done a new Oil, Sparkplug change, and watching this video going to do a filter change soon, is there anything else i can do to make it better, I know I'm not going to be able to do 130kmh(81mph) but I'd like to not do 90kmh(56mph) on open road
Finally found a video on how to clean the strainer. Do you have any idea where you can get those performance springs from? I heard it solves issues with the clutch slipping, not sure if this is what it means, but with mine you shift for example from 2nd to 3rd and a few seconds later it goes back into 2nd again. Would the springs solve that? It also has a hard time sometimes shifting from 1st to 2nd.
Hard time from first to second from what I hear is pretty normal on these bikes, they're cheap transmissions. As far as it jumping down a gear, try to focus on keeping pressure on the shifter for a half second or so to make sure the gear is properly seated, if you still have issues it's likely some sort of component wear
ohh my, mine must have 50,000km now (the speedo cable rusted and broke a year ago) its been 3 years and i keep saying i am gonna do it, but i dont want to rip the gasket.
I ripped the gasket and didnt had new one.. It hapenned the day I bough it and I was exited to ride it.. so.. I put grease on the gasket and put it back together and tighten all bolts evenly.. To my suprise, it holds perfect.. Like one piece broke of the gasket but somehow it doesnt leak no more.. I have new gasket at home now but Im not gonna change it cuz if it holds Im good with it.. Next oil change with cleaning filter I will change it.. 34 000km when I bough it and now 37 000km..
@@blucz883 i did mine 6months~ ago i think. i also ripped the gasket partially. i added special silicone sealant and put it back togeder. it doesnt leak so i am also lucky like you!
+Sreejith K I don't own this model any more, but you can see the instructions in the Service Manual. Cooland and antifreeze are the same thing. www.mediafire.com/download/vj1911t89mh5311/2007_HONDA_CBR125RW_SERVICE_MANUAL.pdf
when u check the oil do u out the dip stick in all the way i.e. twist it down ..or just put it on and off with out twisting it in...if that makes sense on the 04 model
Awesome Video, thanks for the detailed description and effort, really going to help me when i do my oil change, i have a few Question that maybe you can assist me with, i have the same bike honda CBR125 2008 Carb, however i need to do a few things on there, i need to replace the blabs as one of my blabs are gone, can you make a video on how to do that, and another issue i have with my bike, sometimes when im riding the engine just dies down, then i have to open the fuel tank lid and let some pressure out then it starts up again, it never use to do that until i sent it for a service and im note sure what they have done. I really want to learn how to look after my bike my self as i use it for work every day, so around 60kms a day, how often do i need to do a oil and spark plug change ? and im thinking of using Castrol power 4t 10w 40 oil. thanks in advanced.
If you have a 2008 Honda CBR125 it should be fuel injected, not carbureted. Are you sure you have the right model year? I recommend servicing the lubricants, plugs etc according to the factory service manual for your model yr. do you he one of those?
ZeeDeeLicious The recommended engine oil is 10w-30 from the factory service manual. If you want a copy see here www.mediafire.com/view/vj1911t89mh5311/2007_HONDA_CBR125RW_SERVICE_MANUAL.pdf
so what would happen if i dont change the oil filtur ? Change oil only ? Cause its my first bike and this filtur is in uncomfortable place to change it ?
anjpvideo Alright thanks. One more thing though, there a total of 4 tubes entering (or leaving) the crank case so what fluid do I drain in order not to get an spillage?

You're very welcome. Enjoy your cbr and check out some of my other CBR125 maintenance videos.
+anjpvideo got bike today so will soon check your other vids :-)
Why do we have to drain the coolant and not just taking of the complete water pump for changing the oil filter?
Where to buy this new oil filter i have No idea where to

Great video. Very helpful.
There's no gasket between cover and block?
Is there a way to change it without draining the coolant.
Спасибо, при следующей замене масла прочищу и фильтр.

here's one place www.cbr125world.com/store/product_info.php/products_id/29. I've never replaced them but heard good things from those who have
I got it fixed by using thicker oil, 10w40 instead of the recommended 10w30. Now it rarely bangs out of gear!

I heard Honda didnt bother designing a transmission for the CBR 125. They instead used one that was designed for one of their dirt bikes
How much of an effect boost would the springs provide?
Is there a gasket

does the honda cbr125r from 2011-up use the same engine as the 2008 model?
think so
yeah, its just the wheels and the fairing that changes. the bike is about the same.
Helpful, thanks.
hi I have a 125r-14 plate.. can you please do a video to change the anti freeze, air filter change and the rad coolant.. if possible..

hi. never never come with a service manual. i suspect it might be a late 2007 model as paperwork shows 2008 :/ but its defernitly carb.

Oil drain plug washer should be replaced every time, it's a crush-washer, also dirt cheap.
Is there any torque for that 10 bolts on that crank case cover?
13.5NM Or 10Ft/lbs
@@kacperchrusciel890 That bike is on her way to hell bro 😂
please what name of song of vidio( be the blues ??) thank ari setter I'm from brasil . thank you,

This bike doesn't have a filter that you change. It's just a strainer that you clean.
So these bikes there are not oilf filtur ,strainer only ?
Is it bad if i change oil without clean that strainer ?
@@ДрагоДимитров-е7з correct, watch the video
Can I clamp down the tubes instead of draining them?
IgorKoudinov you could try clamping but you're going to lose a lot of fluids when you take the case off to expose the filter

No, but heard good things from those who have
what kind of oil would castrol 10 40 4 stroke moter oil work and how much
check the user manual. It says 1.0L of SAE 10W-30 at SG or higher API. 10w-40 if extremely hot temperatures
how much oil did you pour?
Manual says capacity is 1.0 L (1.1 US qts) of engine oil
@@anjpvideo ok thanks for the answer and how did you replace the filter yo you gave the gaskets?
Thank You.
Cheers dude.
madness effort just for filter ... why cant thy just have normal one
there is no filter its just a strainer to stop chunks from getting sucked into the oil pump. nothing snooty like oil filters on these bikes.

Is there a way to change it without draining the coolant
If you want a big Pizdet then go ahead
