I remember Raven telling a crazy story about him and Saturn on ECW doing somas and other pills either with some prostitutes or "ring rats".
Prob weren't prostitutes cuz back in those days wrestlers actually got chicks unlike these soyboy wrestlers today
I love the honesty from Rob sharing his experiences and admitting that it was the culture that had him taking the pills rather than blaming it on pain. Glad Rpb made it through that period of his life.
He is one of the lucky ones when so many were not 100 pills a day is crazy 😮
@@brianshields7485 Yeah seriously it is! Though I guess with somas you could take that many of them and so long as you didn't mix them with anything else the wrestlers would be ok with them. Because I have heard stories with lots of wrestlers taking insane numbers of those somas and making it out without dying. It is the mixing stuff with them that seems to do the boys in.
Yea he wasn’t totally honest though when he said he didn’t know it was dangerous.
@@brianshields7485Yeah that's insane I wonder if he's exaggerating slightly. It is really hard to overdose on real pharmaceutical drugs. When you see people overdose on pills it's always either because they were pressed with fentanyl or because they took a ridiculous amount. 100 a week is one thing but 100 a day is definitely playing with your life

Of course you know it's not good for you but some people don't realize just how hard they are to get off of until they are hooked and it's too late. You obviously don't really know what your talking about so why comment

Been there done that. I stopped taking them after I woke up at the drive thru with the lady hollering to hand me my food. I wanted to be big tough guy, we’d take 2 and 2, two somas two Lortab (hydrocodone) we heard the wrestlers were doing it and we wanted to be like them. Then it went to 3-3 and with somas you could easily get a high tolerance. I knew a guy that took 30 of each as soon as he got his prescription. It’s stupid. I thank God I had sense to stop. Doctors in the late 90’s would write them easily and we even got them from online doctors which they’ve shut down now.
It’s crazy they weren’t even scheduled until 2012. Meaning you could basically doctor shop for them
@@davidkruse4030 in the untied states there were schedule 2 as far as I know. I mean, we used to get them from Mexico via the online pharmacies and other people and they said over there and in Europe you could get them at the pharmacy no script needed. Man they’ll get you. I was abusing them before I ever even tried alcohol. I didn’t know what to compare that buzz to
I heard an interview that spacoli was the main supplier of all this stuff in the business making runs to the border buying thousands at a time

Had a girl I used to hang out with tell me she had some "generic Tylenol" I could have for a head I had, she gave me 4 I took them all. Once she found out I had taken them all she freaked out and told me they were soma (first and only time I've ever taken them) don't remember almost anything after about an hour or so after that... Never had anything else do to me what those did...
I quit pills 9 years ago, wasnt easy, used rum as a crutch for a while.

I used to buy cheap cocaine and who knows what was in it. I do remember not being able to talk to someone one evening. He was sober and the words wouldn't come out of my mouth.
It was like Give us a Clue as he tried to help me. I was fine around the other messed up people I was with.
aI used to take stuff and not sleep Friday night or Saturday. Barely sleep Sunday and go into work Monday morning looking like a wreck. My eyes were so bad one Sunday my then girlfriend told me to stay home. I had a week off them moved to another town where I didn't have any contacts.

I used to have a girlfriend who had a prescription for soma and i found her passed out with a cigarette in her hand 100 times. One time i left for a minute and when i opened the door to come back in smoke started pouring out of the living room and she had passed out in a chair with a cigarette and set the blanket she was wrapped up in on fire. If i would have stayed gone ten minutes longer she would be dead and the house would have burned down. We used to call it a soma coma. Yea those things are dangerous.

I have a couple of spinal injuries and and advanced degenerative disease of the spine and in pain management for 23 years. I was taking Soma years ago so I know how wiped out that they can make you. My doctor took me off of them over ten years ago for that reason

I have back issues as well, can’t even work anymore. When I injured my back the first thing I did, even before it was brought up as an option, was to refuse opiates of any kind. I did not want an addiction to deal with.
I get by with edibles. I don’t munch on them all day or anything and I won’t lie, they really don’t help much with pain. What they do is help me get sleep at night.
Some people eat them and go to sleep, for me I have to eat them hours before bed. I don’t get super high, it’s more of a tingling relaxed high. When that wears off I crash for most of the night.
RVD despite everything always put on a great show.
Louis Spicolli was so good in the ring. He was the next generation of superstar. Just a great wrestler's and he could talk. Such a really sad loss and he was one his way to being called up to wcw or wwf. Spicolli just had it.
When I was 17 i was friends with this kid who just loved to get high. He would pop pills and sniff coke at work and i just didn't do any kind of drugs. I'd be the person to sober him up and i put him in rehab. He's clean and sober now. Doing very well and has a great job and a beautiful family. Never judge a book by its cover.

The story was Nash, Waltman and hall only had 100 of them and took 33 each leaving only one remaining that Scott hall took and bragged about due to being ever so slightly more impaired than the the other two

@@brettbanta2100 i live in Texas and even had the Mexican ones with a dove 🕊️ on it. But they were hit or miss. Some times 3 did the trick and then you take 3 later and feel nothing so then you take 3 more and barely feel them.

I used to take them a lot in high school. I didn’t know about the twitches being normal until years later. But one day I had ate like 8 or 10 and we had to write a full page or two essay on something in English. When I went to try and write I couldn’t control my fucking hand 😂 it was jerking all over the place. We had to turn it in at the end of class. I got it back the next day and it was literally all scribbles so my teacher put a big red “?” on the page 😂 so weird how they do that, only drug I’ve ever experienced that kind of side effect from besides cotton fever but that means you fucked up lol

You would take 2 pain pills and 2 Soma's way better than morphine. Sometimes you take 3 pains and 5 Soma's depending if they were Dan's or V's
