For infinity bows, it is really best to try to use the enchantment table for the most part. That way you maximize the number of times you can repair the bow

It's really not that deep... Like you said it's expensive, why not do it this way to conserve xp literally and add customization to your books.. It's makes more sense
This mechanic can get so complicated, glad to see someone explain it simply and not get into so many numbers. Other people make it sound so complex but this just proves it isn’t as bad as they make it seem lol.
So, instead of (A+B+C+D+E) + F = "F" ... You're basically ((A+B) + (C+D) + (E+F)) to get "F" all the same, but without a risk of chipping the anvil..! I can't help but wonder how come I never thought up of this, tbh! This is genius, imo!

I've been playing Minecraft for many years and bc we dupe on anarchy servers, I never learned this trick of combining books. Thanks! Much appreciated!! ❤❤❤
Thank you for explaining this! But I now have another question: Can I still add books that I had to combine to reach their max level like Power V- combining Power iv and Power iv. Will that affect how many times i've used it on the Anvil to add it to my bow?
Another interesting thing, simple and efficient way to make the cost of anvil even cheaper as well is having enchanted tools with low durability. get another tool, enchant it or already enchanted and combine them together. Its so cheap a bow i have 'pheonix' has infinity, power v, fire, unbreaking lll, and punch in it. And all it was is combining bows again with enchantments till i got it. Since the anvil selects the first tool to repair you can make an enchanted item become already new to use You can even make it cheaper by swapping them in the anvil. Perfect price for the work! And last longer for the anvil and tool with repairs. I still have an anvil thats hasnt broken yet. Its just about too break after using it for a good few days.
Note: Forgot to mention fishing is amazing to use for this. (Tools with the same enchantments combined will add an extra level to that enchantment. Like sharpness l + sharpness l = sharpness ll and so on. Really handy if you have mulitple enchantments on an item that are similar
It's not complicated. You want to keep the number of combinations to the lowest per item. Say we have 5 enchantment books named A, B, C, D, E and we want to put them on the weapon W (A + B) = Q (1 combination) (C + D) = R (1 combination) (Q + E) = X (2 combinations) (W + R) = Y (2 combinations) (Y + X) = Z (3 combinations) Z is would be your new fully enchanted weapon. You only got up to a combo count of 3. If you just simply put the 5 enchantments straight onto the weapon you'd have hit a combo count of 5 dramatically increasing the experience point cost. There are some optimizations that can be done beyond this but if you follow this general rule of thumb you'll be completely good and can fully enchant swords etc no problem.
This is a method a lot of people recommend, but I've tried it and you spend more xp than you need. It's much better to combine books and have 2 enchantments per book, then just add all of those books to your weapon. Simpler to explain for viewers as well.
Easier method: if you have a bunch of books and an item then try diffrent combinations until you find the cheapest one. Then repeat until everything is combined.
Also you should never combine two Protection 3 for example, that's gonna cost much more XP at the end. In this case get a Protection 4 from the get-go!
You show combining all the available enchantments for an item over multiple books, but said just before to enchantment what you can on the item 1st. So which is it? Use the table 1st (to get half for example) and books for the rest. Or just use books
How do you combine strong level enchantments that take up only 1 level? I’ve enchanted books but they rarely get something like Power V in level 1, which implies I need to keep combining the weaker enchant levels together to get one level of an enchantment I want, *and making the whole thing expensive.* Edit:seems the solution is to get Librarian Villagers, who can give high level enchantments on their own. Trap an unemployed villager and place a lectern next to it to convert it, and keep breaking and re-placing it until you get the enchantment you want. Then purchase the book to use as the guide describes.
I need help, the anvils won’t even let me put 2 enchantments on one item, neither is the enchantment table even though I have lapris and a bunch of experience I’m on bedrock
Hello, this is a great video but I have a question. I am new to Minecraft and don’t really know how to get enchanted books so can you please tell me how to get them.
You can get them from trading with librarian villagers, they will sell you enchanted books. If you want to find out more about villagers I have a villager trading guide for beginners: ua-cam.com/video/f3pQY5nJjX8/v-deo.html
*What’s the best way of repairing a tool?* For example, I’ve got a pickaxe with enchantments that are really valuable to me, and I used to repair it using an anvil. I was basically placing the pickaxe and iron ingots to repair it. But it became really really expensive to repair. What should I do in this case, because I don’t want to lose the pickaxe… Should I just craft another anvil? In this specific case I would spend too much iron, lol.
My best advice would be to add the mending enchantment. With it the pickaxe repairs itself when you collect xp, so you'll never have to repair it manually again. Crafting another anvil won't help, and if you've already repaired the pickaxe multiple times, 1 or 2 more repairs will probably lead to too expensive
1. You could enchant your gear normally with the table, but this can increase the chances of enchantments you don’t like 2. When using an anvil, combine books (normal enchants + special enchants) this will make it cheaper to put them all on one piece of gear 3. Don’t have more than 2 enchants on a book That’s pretty much it summarised.
NO- First thing is to unlock the best TRADES using villager trading, and get all your best book enchants from TRADES, never spend levels on random ass enchantment station! I agree but I just gave the enchantment table as some advice to avoid too expensive, as through trading you still have to use the anvil to add enchantments
@@TheAetherGamer I guess it is a matter of steps for goals in game- one, basic breeder iron farm, use iron to unlock blacksmith trades, use them to generate emeralds to unlock everything else in two days. Not as large an investment as you think. Once there nothing else is needed for enchanting.
