I was extremely frustrated too. Absolutely unavoidable🙄🤣. That being said I found a fender, and even though I was expecting this all to be resolved sooner I’ll be making a video very soon explaining how I’m going forward from here to fix it. B.T.W. I took your advice and signed up for the Amazon Affiliate Program, so I’m excited to get started😀👍!
Things could have been way worse but it's still a major *bummer* 😖 Glad you were there to catch the dude in the act. Yeah, you can't help but feel bad but you gotta do what you gotta do. I'd turn it in to the insurance company too. Hope this week goes better for you. Congrats on 1500 subs! 🥳
Ya if the guy had been careless enough to just keep on driving my truck would’ve no doubt been marked “totaled” by insurance. Just a bad situation all around😕, but it’s gonna end up being no money out of pocket👍. Thanks Zane, really happy to hit that sub count. I appreciate the support as always😀🤙
I have been down this road before, you were smart to demand insurance. Take it to the highest cost Body shop, get a qoute for "All the law will allow" Take the cash and fix it urself, then deduct the extra off the cost of the truck . BOOM! your into this truck less $$$
I’ll explain in detail what I decided to do in another video, but I ended up not going with the body shop. Instead I found an exact ford fender and got a check in the mail from insurance.👍
The minute they start blabbering on and trying to pay cash is the minute I call for a accident report. Bad thing is if you haven't been through it you almost want to fall for that line of bs they throw out. Luckily the headlights aren't too bad to replace and the headlight bezel is reasonable price. Paint and body costs an are and a leg though... plus dealing with the crooks with insurance companies is such a hassle and time consuming. Document EVERYTHING and take tons of pictures.
My last job before retiring was working for a logistics company. A few marginal drivers really give the trucking industry a black eye. I am guessing you have no fault insurance in your area. Be thankful it's just metal and no injuries. It's aggravating and inconvenient. But a guy with your upbeat attitude will put this in the memory bank to tell old man stories in 40 years. Keep us posted on the actual cost and how it turns out.
Haha ya I’ve got a story to tell for years to come🤣! It really is frustrating but at the end of the day it was just an accident and the body shop will take care of it with zero money out of pocket👍
They’re not supposed to go down our street but every now and again one gets lost. In fact we had to move our vehicles cause another semi tried to round that same corner just last week🤣
Bummer! Lesson learned parking on a corner with a big truck eh? Hope the body shop can make quick work of the damage and get you back to your happy place!
Unbelievable. I would have been beyond outraged not because of the accident itself, but because of the shameful shenanigans that that trucker tried to pull. Browsing Amazon and trying to avoid going through insurance is shady af. Call me heartless, but maybe he should have thought about his “family” and his job prospects shrinking _before_ hitting your truck?? He’s not the victim here. At all. And the foot-on-the-tire thing would have sent me over the edge. I don’t care where someone’s from. That’s just straight up disrespectful. Good thing you’re a lot calmer than I am lol. Looks like it won’t take much to fix, but yeah, keep tabs on the repair and make sure the replacement parts are at least OEM quality. On the bright side, it might be a good chance to get any other cosmetic issues addressed while the truck is at the body shop.
Ya from everything the guy was saying and trying to “push” us towards it raised a lot of red flags. Like I said in the video none of this had to happen🙄. Pretty frustrating but I’m glad it’ll all be taken care of with zero out of pocket costs. I’ll be keeping tabs on the body shop every step of the way.👍
Ya it sucks, but the body shop will take care of it all with zero out of pocket. I’m just hoping it’s not a long drawn out process to get my truck back the way it looked before.
Lucky you, my truck had more damage from an F-150 being backed into my Ranger. Luckily the worst part of that besides driving with a fat dent in my bedside for the week was waiting for the cop to leave and therefore release me back to work. Hope everything works out for you and your truck, even though I know it will.
Also, my truck is covered by State Farm (and so is his) and because the accident was not my fault, they didn't ask for us to pay anything on our own, and besides increased rates, I don't believe he had to pay anything either because there wasn't a scratch on his truck.
@@superstar64 man that sucks! Hitting the bedside is the worst. Probably easy for a body shop to pop the dent out, but dents really stand out on a bed cause they’re not reinforced very well as you know. Sorry that happened, but at least you didn’t have to pay out of pocket for it.👍

From everything the guy was telling me it set off a lot of alarm bells. It was just flat out shady. Like I said in the video it was 110% avoidable, but at least insurance is covering it and I’ll definitely be documenting every step. I don’t think it’s too much to ask that my truck be put back together the way it was before all of this crap took place🤣!
Oh man this makes me mad freaking lazy people! Im so glad that you got his insurance info and now you can get it properly fixed

Bummer about the truck! At least the huy stopped.
Ya it would’ve been a whole different story if it was a “hit and run”🤣

Darn Cody. I think i would've cried to see that 😢.

Thanks all it needed was a new fender and the truck is good as new😀👍

You know Cody if I was closer I'd gladly fix the fender for you. But I'm in Arkansas so I'm not much help 😬
Ya it’s been a whole ordeal so far, but soon I’ll explain how I’m going about to fix the problem👍
Wait
Aren't semis NOT allowed on residential streets?
They’re not supposed to go down our street but every now and again one gets lost. In fact we had to move our vehicles cause another semi tried to round that same corner just last week🤣

Ya I think I’ll be parking my truck in a different spot from here on out🙄
Sorry man, what a frustrating thing to deal with. On a brighter note congrats on 1500 subs.
Thanks Tom! Ya it was a bummer, but it’ll all work out in the end.
Hay where can you find this quality trucks for cheap is there a curtain auction or something
I’d recommend checking Craigslist and Facebook marketplace 👍
@@ydocproductions5593 I can't find any on there
Wow awesome intro man
Thanks man!👍

Sure does!
Man bad luck this happened hopefully u get it fixed and back to the build soon.

Yeah no the bedside had to be completely redone because of the way the dent had mini dents too.
