Inner child work is so important. In therapy I learnt that I was still reacting from a powerless scared place. I learnt to go inside and find little Julia and comfort her and love her and tell her its ok.. Its gut wrenching but so powerful. Over time you start to find that you can be kinder to yourself and others and not blame or judge in the same way. Its definitely the beginning to becoming whole and experiencing satisfaction in life. The anger and shame starts to leave you.

My serious shadow work started at age 50.. its never too late and I feel we owe it to ourselves and our children..

Thanks so much for opening up and sharing your story. I'm sorry you had to live through that memory but I'm glad you are working through it. Shadow work truly is amazing. I have a lot of stuff I don't really address which I know I should. I just don't think I'm ready to face it yet.

Hi Carla, I honor your courage and the knowledge you gave us in this video. Truly you captured the essence of shadow work and the cry of the inner child in each of us.🙏 You said it was then at the young age of 2 that you lost your voice. Do you feel your soul found a way to express Carla with your strong and beautiful singing voice? There was so much in this experience, hidden ( under a bed) not to be seen, may also have been unconsciously played out in your personality. I love how you said shadow work is connected to everything, wow so true in my belief as well. There is an unconditional string of love woven within and without the world, maybe it’s called spirit, God, The Force, Limitless Light or Universe. Either way I would want to live without it. I love you for all you are and the love you give to us.💞

I am still processing every bit of gnosis I receive from revisiting these memories and realizing so many things about myself. My hope is to remember compassion for myself and others, knowing that we share this experience of life, and spirit (or like you said, God, the Force, limitless light, or Universe…I love that) connects us all. I do believe that singing was my way of trying to have my voice heard. Honestly, then I was praised for it…so, in that I learned a new way to say things and seek approval that way. When things start making sense, there is a true relief and healing that begins. I love you too Carol ❤️🙏☺️
