@@ModelRailroadTechniques My local club is Digitrax. So while I went with the DR5000 for my personal system, I am mostly utilizing Loconet accessories. Roco Z21 does not seem to be popular here, it is either Digitrax or NCE for the majority.
Great little video to show how it works. I’d love to know more about the IR detector and how it works. May be an in depth video later to show the electronics, wiring and programming?
i have watched a few of your videos and you seem to have train controller mostly worked out, i was wondering if you could help me as i am having major problems getting my walthers turntable to work with train controller, i am using the walthers advanced control module to communicate between the dcc system and the turntable, neither of these peices of hardware do not have a base address but the in conjunction each turntable track output has an accessory address and a normal or reverse position relating to head or tail of bridge position..ive been through the user guide etc to no avail, can you help?
Please email on modelrailroadtechniques@ gmail.com with product numbers of accessory decoder and turntable. See what we can do. I am not familiar with Walthers TTs
Hello, would you be able to pass some information on regarding triggering different decoder sounds within a locomotive in different blocks as a train drives around a layout? I am trying to have a horn sound then shut off but am having issues with the turn off portion, I can make it trigger in TC 10. Thanks
Hello Brad, sure I assume you are wanting to activate this via an action marker? The process is to turn on the function, a short delay that blows the horn let’s say for 2seconds, then turn off. The off is toggled off using using the change button at the bottom action marker operations tab. Hope this makes sense? If not email me and I will send a pictorial of what my action marker looks like
@@ModelRailroadTechniques This is very helpful, thank you. I am still having difficulties figuring out how to make the sound last for only a couple of seconds. I would’ve thought train controller would have a timer until it change the state? I don’t see one any further advice on this would be very appreciated
@@BradFletcher-sg8ft sometimes it comes down to how the functions are set up in TC and on the DCC decoder. Try increasing the delay time, this may assist you too.
Brad you can also set up macros where you can save your settings. Then you can place the macro in operations tab of the action marker. This is a quick and easy way to activate a function or functions. The best part is if you wish to change the way the functions work you just need to change the 1 macro. This in turn will change all your action marker macros.
It's good to see another Digikeijs user.
I love their gear.. great prices.. what are you running on your layout?
@@ModelRailroadTechniques I have a DR5000, DR5097 and a DR4088-CS. My 2nd and 3rd video show my control system.
I use a Roco Z21 and S88 protocol detection

could you recommend a video that may show how to trigger and create macros of loco sounds in train controller?
I see you have emailed me.
