"A throne will always await a King." somewhere, somehow, Wilbur seems his life/position as once royalty. 7. "-ticket of my patience." Wilbur was at some point, teamed with Dream. What makes you think- there wasn't a plan? 8. "go ahead and sm:)le." tell me that doesn't make bile rise in your throat. 9. the hues of constant red, anger, passion, strength, valor 10. the almost glitch-like sounds and the roaring sound of trains- almost makes me see it as Wilbur watching trains go by in the In-Between but never *his* train.
I’d imagine, if Ghostbur had a song as a flip side to this one, it would be a slow guitar ballad… and a train conductor’s voice announcing his arrival as the opening.

My theory is that the reason Wilbur wants control over everything is to make sure there is NOTHING threathening him or his life. He is afraid to go back. He knows if he dies again Dream won't revive him.

Plus we don’t know if the book will work on the same person more than once! So this theory definitely holds weight because Wilbur is carrying through a lot of plans very quickly, because he doesn’t know how long he has to neutralize any threat to him, and he also doesn’t know if the revival was a one time thing, he’s scared and he needs to have power to feel safe.
and to add to that, dying cannot be enjoyable, so he probably won't want to feel that pain, even if he could be revived once again. plus, if he's been there for so long, even a small amount of time it takes for dream to know he died again, would be hell for wilbur.
I'm just gonna say this once(in this comment section at least): Knowing how to differentiate a character from the one who plays it will help you live a healthier life. As just because Wilbur made something bad, doesn't mean that the character, nor the song, are bad as well. After all, a character doesn't exist and the song wasn't made by him. So no worries, and just enjoy the song.

This song is still fire honestly! Despite what most people keep saying, this song is very easy to listen to, because it could very easily be interpreted to many other characters from vastly different fandoms. Plus, this song wasn't even made by Wilbur! So nothing goes to him and I can listen to this as much as I want. ❤
Everything about this song is a fucking masterpiece. The beat is just downright intoxicating, the background train and heavy ambient noises are *perfect* to add that extra UMPH to the sound, and then of course the just downright vicious delivery of the lyrics just fucking puts the icing on the cake. I've adored all of Derivakat's work but holy hell this is a new take I didn't know I desperately needed. And holy hell that's not even touching on the VIDEO. The lyric and animation and artwork is just goddamn magnificent. This is just an entire masterpiece. So glad to see this love on Wilbur! Easily one of my favorite roleplayers in the SMP.

The way that the train noises are seamlessly added to put more atmosphere and give such a sense of surprise and dread honestly is just legendary. This song was something I, and others were waiting for, and honestly? My expectations were exceeded and more. This is amazing.
It reminds me of the grinding noises the Spiderverse people integrated into the Prowler's theme! It sounds like something screaming from down a long hallway, and it just gives me chills Every Time.

What I love most about Derivakat’s work is that in every song she incorporates something related to the character. Like this song has train sounds, Casino Royale has coins and game gears, Write It Down has typing, and on and on. It adds to the ambiance and is so creatively put into the music ✨

I moved, and while i was in night train, riding to another country i remembered about this song. It reminded about me, about my suffer and my escape. Today was the new year. I saw fireworks for the first time from last new year. I was happy as a child, i run out, on the rain, turned this song on and cried it, i was shouting it out with fireworks on the back. Can we just take a moment to remember this song is about a character from roleplay on a Minecraft server? That doesn't make this song less epic. In fact it makes it x10 more epic. Derivakat is a freaking legend and so it Qaramello for these visuals
This song hits as hard as a sledgehammer, in the best way possible. There is so much power squeezed into the frame of two minutes and 43 seconds that I had the impression that it lasted way longer than that during the premiere - the force of the strong, intense voice, heavy, hammering beat and the sharp, piercing sounds make this project overflow in a sense, overflow with a dangerous air and pent-up energy. Like damn, Kat, it's so crushingly overwhelming, addictive, explosive... Just like the character it is about. C!Wilbur is charismatic, obsessive, unstable, driven by a thirst for power, control and admiration, never minding but welcoming the taste of blood. Destruction gives him a kick, violence gets him high; Tears and ashes are his favorite flavor, smoke and bright lights are his favorite sight. And now that he's back, that he's escaped from hell, he loves the smell of cold crisp fresh air and feeling of the hot rising sun on his skin as he walks over the server's scorched Earth, ready to ignite conflict once again, because his Limbo denied him that thrill. On this note, I want to point out how the artwork is an absolutely god-like illustration of c!Wilbur and his Limbo - and a perfect visual representation of the song. It borrows from the color palette of YCGMA, that beautifully alarming red, fitting the train horn/siren, supported by an angry loud yellow, especially in the frames during the bridge, where his eyes open behind the window; Aggressive colors, contrasted by a deep blue standing in for Ghostbur's grief and sadness in his "cold and dark" Limbo (the flickering text is such a genius touch; It ties in with the (retro-)digital aesthetic and especially the image of the flashing TV the video ends on - Ghostbur's connection to the world of the living cutting out as he's left behind, while his counterpart is revived, reconnects and lives). And all of this with a gorgeous and compelling character design and backgrounds perfectly simulating the inside of a moving train, with subtle details and changes (such as Wilbur beginning to look towards the camera in sinc with the alarm during the first verse, the station sign reading "Jubilee", the train handles shaking, the L'Manberg flag buried underneath the rubble, etc.)... F*cking hell, Candice, if you're reading this, you've outdone yourself this time around. I could really go on and on about the quality of this song and its music video and about how crazy it is that someone actually has the talent to bring this into existence but let me just say this: Kat, Candice, with "Revived" you have not simply created a song and a video; This is almost an experience, absolute insanity: It has such an insanely specific, powerful, enthralling feel to it, like ragged-edged, rusty yet somehow polished metal, that captivates you, draws you towards that source of danger. The train is a whole instrument. There's no actual percussion on this track, is there? It's just the train sounds. Maybe a kick, but it sounds like just a punchy bass synth. Each new song brings something new and unique and I love it so much.

The song is very well made. The visuals give it a sinister vibe, the heavy sounds make it unnerving, and the lyrics are awesome. Also, the way Derivakat sings it isn't the usual harmony-like thing. As someone could say it, it's messy, just like Wilbur and his intentions. Everything about this makes it a lot better, and it completely shows the madness that Wil has developed and just the threat he is as a whole. Love it, very good work.< Edit: Damn, 1k likes. The way Wilbur looks at us at 0:44 filled me with absolute fear. And the section at 1:25 where she gets more intense and just starts screaming and then the whole "MINE MINE MINE I'M ALIVE *_SHUT UP!_* " Hit hard- holy shit, it gave me max chills and goosebumps. It reflects Wilbur's obsession to control everything so well. This song and art really just shows off his JD vibes.

i know i find all of this just so cool! but during the train seen when it starts flashing red he looks into the camera but before he was looking away which i think is a cool detail and when he says "MINE MINE MINE, IM ALIVE." right after it flashes yellow it shows his eyes behind the train. this is stuipid and unnessacary but these are cool details they put in thats not noticed that i think are great detail.

Everything about this song is a fucking masterpiece. The beat is just downright intoxicating, the background train and heavy ambient noises are *perfect* to add that extra UMPH to the sound, and then of course the just downright vicious delivery of the lyrics just fucking puts the icing on the cake. I've adored all of Derivakat's work but holy hell this is a new take I didn't know I desperately needed.
And holy hell that's not even touching on the VIDEO. The lyric and animation and artwork is just goddamn magnificent. This is just an entire masterpiece. So glad to see this love on Wilbur! Easily one of my favorite roleplayers in the SMP.

The way that the train noises are seamlessly added to put more atmosphere and give such a sense of surprise and dread honestly is just legendary. This song was something I, and others were waiting for, and honestly? My expectations were exceeded and more. This is amazing.

What I love most about Derivakat’s work is that in every song she incorporates something related to the character. Like this song has train sounds, Casino Royale has coins and game gears, Write It Down has typing, and on and on. It adds to the ambiance and is so creatively put into the music ✨

There is so much power squeezed into the frame of two minutes and 43 seconds that I had the impression that it lasted way longer than that during the premiere - the force of the strong, intense voice, heavy, hammering beat and the sharp, piercing sounds make this project overflow in a sense, overflow with a dangerous air and pent-up energy.
Like damn, Kat, it's so crushingly overwhelming, addictive, explosive...
Just like the character it is about.
C!Wilbur is charismatic, obsessive, unstable, driven by a thirst for power, control and admiration, never minding but welcoming the taste of blood.
Destruction gives him a kick, violence gets him high;
Tears and ashes are his favorite flavor, smoke and bright lights are his favorite sight.
And now that he's back, that he's escaped from hell, he loves the smell of cold crisp fresh air and feeling of the hot rising sun on his skin as he walks over the server's scorched Earth, ready to ignite conflict once again, because his Limbo denied him that thrill.
On this note, I want to point out how the artwork is an absolutely god-like illustration of c!Wilbur and his Limbo - and a perfect visual representation of the song.
It borrows from the color palette of YCGMA, that beautifully alarming red, fitting the train horn/siren, supported by an angry loud yellow, especially in the frames during the bridge, where his eyes open behind the window;
Aggressive colors, contrasted by a deep blue standing in for Ghostbur's grief and sadness in his "cold and dark" Limbo (the flickering text is such a genius touch; It ties in with the (retro-)digital aesthetic and especially the image of the flashing TV the video ends on - Ghostbur's connection to the world of the living cutting out as he's left behind, while his counterpart is revived, reconnects and lives).
And all of this with a gorgeous and compelling character design and backgrounds perfectly simulating the inside of a moving train, with subtle details and changes (such as Wilbur beginning to look towards the camera in sinc with the alarm during the first verse, the station sign reading "Jubilee", the train handles shaking, the L'Manberg flag buried underneath the rubble, etc.)...

The song is very well made. The visuals give it a sinister vibe, the heavy sounds make it unnerving, and the lyrics are awesome. Also, the way Derivakat sings it isn't the usual harmony-like thing. i know i find all of this just so cool! but during the train seen when it starts flashing red he looks into the camera but before he was looking away which i think is a cool detail and when he says "MINE MINE MINE, IM ALIVE." right after it flashes yellow it shows his eyes behind the train. this is stuipid and unnessacary but these are cool details they put in thats not noticed that i think are great detail.
