Knowing how to differentiate a character from the one who plays it will help you live a healthier life. As just because Wilbur made something bad, doesn't mean that the character, nor the song, are bad as well. After all, a character doesn't exist and the song wasn't made by him.
So no worries, and just enjoy the song.

Despite what most people keep saying, this song is very easy to listen to, because it could very easily be interpreted to many other characters from vastly different fandoms. Plus, this song wasn't even made by Wilbur! So nothing goes to him and I can listen to this as much as I want. ❤

My theory is that the reason Wilbur wants control over everything is to make sure there is NOTHING threathening him or his life. He is afraid to go back. He knows if he dies again Dream won't revive him.

Plus we don’t know if the book will work on the same person more than once! So this theory definitely holds weight because Wilbur is carrying through a lot of plans very quickly, because he doesn’t know how long he has to neutralize any threat to him, and he also doesn’t know if the revival was a one time thing, he’s scared and he needs to have power to feel safe.
and to add to that, dying cannot be enjoyable, so he probably won't want to feel that pain, even if he could be revived once again. plus, if he's been there for so long, even a small amount of time it takes for dream to know he died again, would be hell for wilbur.

It's wild how people wanna downplay what Wil did to Shelby when it comes to the biting but 1. He ignored their safe word and bit her so damn hard he left bruises on her legs 2. He could have poisoned her. human bites can be more dangerous and infectious than most animal bites and Wilburs would especially be dangerous considering how he lacks any sort of hygiene whatsoever.

I support Shelby but a genuine question as someone who still is unsure as an artist. There’s old art I made specifically ghostbur in and friend so my question is do I just erase it? I drew ghostbur alone with other characters interacting with each other and I’ve seen people destroy art of just willbur alone. I wanted to ask unsure what would be appropriate seeing and hearing all of this.
@@skulldogskully9475 Personally, I would recommend to leave you old works along. It's not your fault or your art's fault for depicting a *character* who was made by a bad person. Your art and the time you put into making it have value and shouldn't be tossed away so easily. If I were you, I'd just archive my work and never look back unless it's mentioned.
I find quite sad to see so many ruin and throw away their own work just because it was inspired from a bad person. The only disservice you can do is through away the result of all that time and effort.

I think what I’ll do is instead of including ghostbur in any art with friend like I would before I draw Tommy or someone else instead. As an artist in these situations it’s like we’re expected to burn and destroy something we made before all this and if we don’t we’re walking on egg shells for still keeping art of an abuser or something along those lines.

The way that the train noises are seamlessly added to put more atmosphere and give such a sense of surprise and dread honestly is just legendary. This song was something I, and others were waiting for, and honestly? My expectations were exceeded and more. This is amazing.
It reminds me of the grinding noises the Spiderverse people integrated into the Prowler's theme! It sounds like something screaming from down a long hallway, and it just gives me chills Every Time.
@@NovaStella_ i was wondering why the sirens and train noises reminded me of something and you've just given me my answer! i really like when musicians and composers add in sounds to the song/score that reference the character's personality and storyline! the usage of prowler's theme (in general, but especially) in what's up danger and the train/siren noises in revived do just that thing. sorry for the ramble lol, i find it super sick

Everything about this song is a fucking masterpiece. The beat is just downright intoxicating, the background train and heavy ambient noises are *perfect* to add that extra UMPH to the sound, and then of course the just downright vicious delivery of the lyrics just fucking puts the icing on the cake. I've adored all of Derivakat's work but holy hell this is a new take I didn't know I desperately needed.
And holy hell that's not even touching on the VIDEO. The lyric and animation and artwork is just goddamn magnificent. This is just an entire masterpiece. So glad to see this love on Wilbur! Easily one of my favorite roleplayers in the SMP.
