Kevin, I like that welder!! I have a Harbor Freight welding, like your son, and have used it making my camera boxes for setting trail cameras. I really like this one! Absolutely, Kevin, anyone can weld with these new welders. I took welding back in my Jr. High School years in shop class, but that was stick welding. My son, who has never welded a day in his life could probably weld with these new flux core welders. Your wife did a good job for her first time, from what I saw. Great review on that welder for sure. That will come in handy around your place. Thanks for sharing your review!! Juddie

Kevin that bead your son laid on the 1/4 inch was impressive for a 110 machine, I don`t have room for a 220 line in my garage, now I don`t have to. Your first project could be a small rolling cart, and you could roll this thing around anywhere, it might only weight 20 lbs with the cart, it sure seems like it has plenty of heat, I like it a lot. I don`t have a welder so when I do need to join 2 pieces of metal together, I drill and bolt them, this would solve that problem easy.

good video and job i have a yes welder plasma cutter really good for price. i have the $76 hft welder it's good for the price. i got it on a saturday when i had to weld and gave out of co2 on my old miller matic 200. buy Julie a adjustable welding helmet i think most have 9 setting now. i need to give mine a good cleaning. i have a old sears dialamatic 230 ac stick welder last time i used it was to weld cast iron. take care, be safe and well,
My helmet could use a good cleaning to she would probably weld better with a good helmet.
