Travel Vlog #53 | Cancun, Mexico
March, 2021
Make sure you subscribe to catch all of our Mexico content coming up! We recently stayed at Dreams Sands Resort, an all-inclusive resort option in Cancun in the hotel zone! We wanted to show the entire resort, so we did an entire walkthrough/tour! We aren't' ones to typically go for the all-inclusive options, but we got an awesome deal at this resort! They also are providing free covid testing for US residents, which was a great addition, considering they set the test up for you and hand you the results.
There are 7 restaurants, multiple bars, lots of activities, and most importantly: one of the BEST stretches of beach in Cancun! The water is calm and clear, the sand is soft, and it's not very crowded. We were honestly really surprised by how much we enjoyed the food, from what we've heard about other all-inclusives. The staff here are some of the kindest people we've talked to, and they are extremely accommodating. We actually ended our Mexico trip here, so make sure to subscribe so you can go along on ALL of our Mexico adventures with us (there is a LOT). We are so excited to start sharing our trip, thanks for watching!

This is pure gold for anyone planning a vacation.!
We LOVE this resort and had a great time on our tours!
That’s pretty awesome that they cover a quarantine if something happens! It really looks super nice! You guys filmed this so beautifully! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks guys! It helps when the place itself is beautiful!
My husband and I will be going here in June!! So exciting to see this! Looking forward ❤️
That’s awesome! Have fun 😁
Amazing and detailed video!! Thank you so much for this!
Thanks so much! We definitely wanted to highlight all the great options
Thank you for a wonderful video. Best video on Dreams Sand Resort!
Ah thank you so much! That means a lot!
We have tried so many resorts and always go back to moon palace! The service and food just doesn’t get any better! We always book thru a member so that we get vip service discounts and resort credits!
We’ll have to check that one out at some point!
Great review, Ashley! Cameraman did some good work too. 😉😊
Haha, thank you!! He really did well on this one!
Going 2 this resort in Nov this year. Love all your info & video about this place thank u 4 sharing! I'm a fan now!
Oh my gosh have fun! We already want to go back 😂
I just left yesterday. It's amazing and it's a party hotel. Very nice m. For night life go to Coco Bongo!!! Amazing!!!!
The resort looks beautiful! I loved how you filmed and edited it! Shot out to Christian the camera man! Can’t wait to see the room!
We were really impressed with it! Thanks so much, he'll be very glad to hear that you enjoyed it 😁
@@AshleyandChristian watching this makes me realize I need a camera man lol
Nice video! Thank you! Never thought of doing non-all-inclusive option. Is there big difference in savings? How much did you end up spending for food/etc in the end?
Thank you! We ended up opting for the all-inclusive for our last 2 days, but from the days we didn't do AI, we only saved around $40/day. That also included going outside of the resort, having to decide where to go each night, and obviously no unlimited drinks. We did get a good deal on the AI from the resort, which ultimately made us decide to opt for the package! We had spent quite a bit of time in Mexico by then, and just relaxing at this resort sounded very nice 😂
Wow I (Jenna) have never been to a resort in Mexico but Andrew has been to tons
I’ve never really known how it looks and this is amazing! I love the hammocks :)
This was our first one too! They're awesome! Hammocks are also the best haha
Beautiful resort! My hubby and I stayed at a Dreams resort in Ounta Cana... it was lovely! -Ali 😍🍷
They're so comfortable!
We will be there Monday the 15. What floor and rooms do you think are the best? Also the area of the resort? Some people like quiet and some don’t care. I definitely want a high floor with a balcony! Looks amazing!
I think the 3rd or above would be great! I liked our room, we did a tour of it as well. I believe it was a deluxe balcony? I liked the main pool and beach the best!
Great video! I’ll be getting married here in July! This may be a really really dumb question lol but did you have to pay for any meals or drinks at all?
Ahh congrats that's awesome! We did not have to pay for anything! I think there are upgrades you can do, like dinner on the beach and a lobster package, but everything we ate and drank was included. We'll be posting a video from our day here, but we ate and drank a ton and it was all included! Goucho grill was our favorite and the swim up bar bartender was awesome!
That resort looks beautiful
The beach was perfect there, probably one of the best in the hotel zone!
Loved this video. Our first vacay out of the country EVER & this is the resort our Travel A. picked for us. How'd did u get to the resort from the airport? From other videos we've watched, the consensus was NOT to take. Taxi. We also booked an excursion to Itza'..
We took the bus! Kind of confusing haha
Waooo amazing resort tour, looks pretty cool.
We really enjoyed it!!
I don’t tip would that matter. Also what’s included in all inclusive
Fun fact don’t rent the jet skis from inside the resort they are old and slow. Go to the beach and rent from the guys that have the brand new sea doos
Price is the same
Good tip! We saw a lot along the shore
We usually prefer little accommodations, but this resort is very cool!
Same here! I think that’s why we were so surprised we liked it so much 😂
Hello, what month was this ? I’m afraid it will be full of sea weed during the summer months
This was March!
we are 6 adults and 3 kids, what would be best way to get the hotel. What would be the fees?
Probably a shuttle through the resort! I’m not sure of fees but you can book through them
Great video! I'm slightly confused about the "all inclusive" part. All of the booking websites make it seem like it's all-inclusive, but you said you had to pay extra at check-in. Was that the "preferred package"? Or did you really have to pay extra just to get the base all-inclusive package. We just booked thinking we got all-inclusive, but now I'm second guessing. Thanks!
Hey, so sorry that was confusing! We booked without the all-inclusive option (it'll say NOT all-inclusive) on hotels.com. Most of the options are all-inclusive, but we didn't think we'd use it when we originally booked. After we got there, they offered us a discount on the rate we would've paid online originally! Let me know if that made sense haha
@@AshleyandChristian sorry! I was more confused by the different booking websites, not by you guys. I didn't realize there was a non all inclusive option, so I was surprised to hear that. Thanks for the reply. I'll choose my words better next time!
Oh no you're totally okay! This is one of the only resorts I saw when booking that had a non all-inclusive so I understand why that's so confusing.
Hello and thank you so much for this review. Im booking this hotel for this month and is curious about the free covid test. Do they allow the free test to travel back or do i have to get the PCR and how much does it cost?
@1st_Ladey I'd call to make sure they're still offering it, I think they said until the US stops requiring them, so it should still be offered! Yes the provide the antigen test needed to get back to the US for free (as of earlier this year)
Thank you soooo much ❤️❤️
what website did you book? I am looking at their official website and they allow 5+ nights stay minimum :( and due to work I can only stay 4 nights max
what the heck! We used hotels.com! We only stayed 3 nights, so check that out as well as booking.com. If that doesn’t work, I’d call direct and see what they can offer you. They were very accommodating!
Is there an on-site nightclub or a place where they have a bar, play music and you can dance?
There's a pretty big nightclub/bar that's adults only! When we were there it was for covid testing though 😂 I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun when it reopens!
I love that place. I just left yesterday!!!
@Chernique Us too! Jealous!
thanks for the video. was the ocean water warm?
yes it was perfect!
Awesome video thank you ! What’s the best hotel with the best beach in Cancun ?
I think this area is honestly the best! it’s protected from wind. km 9 I believe??
is there a buffet there? aside from the a la cart restaurants??
The main restaurant World Cafe is set up as a buffet style! They have breakfast lunch and dinner!
What kind of tequila did they serve? Top shelf?
Yes! You just have to make sure to request it
I am curious , i didnt see you mention any mexican restaurant! in mexico id defo want some mexican food!
I believe the one mexican restaurant was closed at the time. We actually went out into the city to get authentic Mexican food
Hi,I’m thinking of booking here in May and wanted to know what the atmosphere/vibe during the day is like and nightlife ? Going with a group of girls in our 20’s looking for good music, good drinks and good food. How was the food? Do you think this would be the place for us?
Hey! It's definitely family friendly, but they have music and activities all day as well as the bartenders being a ton of fun! Nightlife wasn't really going on while we were there because of covid, but it seems like they have a couple options normally. We thought the food was great! Gaucho Grill was incredible
Hmmm might stay there then🤔😊😁😉
Do it!! I want to see you make a video about an all inclusive 😂
Does this hotel have a night club or close to coco bongo?
They have an adults only club that's open at night (just not when we were there). I mapped it to Coco Bongo and it's a 3 min drive away, super close!
You mite think this is a stupid question but I have a huge phobia of iguanas! Did you see any on this resort?
No we did not! We saw a ton around Mexico but none actually in the resort. I feel like there aren’t a lot of places for them to hide and too many people. I’m no iguana expert but that’s my best guess 😂
@@AshleyandChristian 😂😂 thankyou very much. Just watching them on videos puts the shivers through me, trying to find a resort with none of them anywhere near 😂
Haha oh gosh don’t watch our Tulum video coming out then, there’s definitely an iguana! Like I said, I never saw one there so you may be safe 😬
@@AshleyandChristian yea I've been watchin tulum vids, there looks like threres some awesome hotels there but the iguanas is a big deal breaker for me 😂 damn phobias! Lol
Would love to see the room tour vid i
It will be up soon! We had the deluxe king with balcony and partial ocean view!
$50 per person per night!?!? Wow, that’s a deal!
For the all-inclusive portion, yes! I think we paid about $250/night total. It was a really good deal
Going in 2 months, thanks so much for this !! So glad it’s open. We’re staying for a week, all inclusive, flights and transportation included, $1,102pp booked in March.
I'm so excited for you, that sounds like an incredible time, and a good deal!!
That’s a great price! What website did you use? Trying to book for December and looking to book with them for a week as well
Went to that resort and it’s bad super small everything is super compact and the service is not good the is broken tiles on the pool and I got cut and the employees where uncooperative
Liar
Just got back last week. One of the worst resorts. Outdated and food was horrible
Bunned hella loud w NICO in this hotel
The food is horrible.
