You Be The Judge!

Back around 2000-2001, before UA-cam made it easy, I would post sequences of single video frames on www.HighDesertRacing.com to highlight questionable calls made by track officials. I called that section of the site "You Be The Judge". More recently, the calls have been much better, although I'm sure some would disagree with that statement. Based on this incident, maybe it's time to bring back "You Be The Judge" to UA-cam.

According to the announcer, the yellow came out for debris on the track which was caused by contact between two other cars on that same lap.

After watching the clip again, I see that the debris was already on the track in turn two BEFORE this incident. Must have been from the previous lap.

Number one thing, caution shoulda been brought out way sooner whether it was for debris or the spin. Number two thing, the white car slid up a bit and had already started spinning and the 14 was there on the outside so it doesn't make much sence that the car spun to their left had the 14 actually hit them. So the 14 wasn't at fault. Bad call for two reasons.

I'm sure you're right. That seems to be what's behind just about everything these days! BTW it can be YOUR or YOU'RE, depending on context! YOURE is not a word AFAIK.

The white car(#?) was already spinning when the #14 made the move to pass. Crappy call.
