Thank you! I'm excited to start on it. I have something I'm working on for the channel but when that's all done, I can get this Bauhaus done! I'm considering working on it this weekend and turning on the live feed and let it run while I'm working on it.
I love your quilt top and pieced portions for the back! I’ve also been planning to make a Bauhaus-inspired quilt, but I haven’t begun to cut into my fabric yet. I’m very much interested in seeing how you quilt the finished piece. Regarding the expense of backing fabric, I’ve been really into using thrifted sheets for backing quilts. As long as they’re clean (no stains) and aren’t threadbare or ripped, they make excellent backings. Sometimes I get really lucky and score a beautiful 100% cotton king-sized duvet cover, so it’s basically 2 quilt backs right there. 😉
I have been saving older sheets to use for my quilt backs, and I love using them, too! I need to start scanning thrift stores for them, but honestly, the ones close to me are not that good. So I need to check around and see where else I can go and look. But for now, I have several ahead, so I'm in pretty good shape there. Thanks for the great suggestions!
I think that's a good solution and I don't have to spend anymore money on it. I don't want to buy anything else to finish it, so piecing together the binding strip really works for me! Thanks for suggesting it.
Very beautiful and dramatic quilt - I agree, black binding.
Thank you!
Great job! Black and white stripe would be an awesome binding…I agree! ❤
I love that idea!! But I don't want to buy anything else for it, so it has to come out of my stash.
Wouldn’t a black and white stripe make an awesome binding for both sides of the quilt? Just my two cents worth so it doesn’t count for much. Lol 😂
I love that idea, but I don't want to spend any more money on it, so it has to come from the stash. It would look amazing!
Beautiful! I can’t wait to see it finished. You are doing an amazing job with this!
Thank you so much!
I think the navy or the black & white dots in the quilt would frame it wonderfully in binding if you have any left over.
I love the navy but I don't think I have quite enough. IDK. I need to rifle through the leftovers and see what's in there.
Love this! I’m a huge fan of pieced backings.

Just WOW!!❤
Thank you!! It's a fun quilt.
Beautiful 👍
Thank you so much!! I tried to follow the color choices of the designer as much as possible.
I saw a binding that used all the c olors if the top. They cut lengths around 9-12 inches and it looked great.
Oh that's such a fantastic idea!
That is beautiful ❤
Thank you!! I love it so much and it's really bothered me to not have it finished.
Use remnants from the fabric you used in your quilt for binding. It would match and you will probably have enough.

Love it!
Thanks!!
Awesome 😊
Thanks 🤗
Your quilt is wonderful, very striking! I am looking forward to seeing your finish and the backing is going to be great!
Thank you so much !! I can't wait to get it completed!
Striking❤ are you going to quilt it with a cross hatch like in the picture?
I think so! I like that style of quilting anyway, so I'll probably do it the same as the designer did.
@@PattymacMakes yes, it looks great .
