I agree with all the other comments and it should be a proper course that is clearly understandable for everyone, even for people who have never trained before and have no experience, but cannot afford a personal coach and do not have time due to family, work and normal life to keep busy with training all day and doing training research because ist not their passion. I know Conjugate or Concurrent Training isnt easy, not at all, but everyone needs a starting point to get started properly. 99% of the population are not intermediate, advanced or even professional in the gym or in the athletic field and do not compete. Most are normal people who primarily want to build muscle and lose fat but dont want to look and train like bodybuilders, but also want to be fit and healthy. In my opinion, conjugate and concurrent are perfect for this because it provides variety and everything is trained at the same time. It would be great if you really create such a detailed course and not just a cookie cutter program. Everyone has that because everyone is annoyed by beginners and everyone says it doesnt matter what beginners do and how they start, which is complete nonsense because thats why most people stop training because they started wrong, without a real plan, get injured, or don't see any progress or results. No one should start with squats, deadlifts or bench press right away, it´s a recipe for desaster. Guys like Matt Wenning say this all the time. These are my 2 cents and I would give anything for a course like this, but it shouldn't be free and behind a paywall or a book and it should have value
Westside provides more than enough information* on how to train the conjugate way; hell they even release fcking TRAINING TEMPLATES every once in a while which can easily be copied and adjusted to suit your needs. *Everything you need to know is on both westsides youtube channel and website, just read/watch what they have to say, take notes and use your brain to think
Can you please make a program for beginners who are not ready to train with a barbell yet. A program in preparation for Conjugate to build the necessary GPP and muscles in order to learn the correct technique for the main lifts. I was listening to a podcast with Dave Tate and he said that Louie had a 12-24 week preparation program for his wife before she started conjugate. It was necessary to build muscles like hamstrings, hips and abs in order to even start using Conjugate. Please do a program like this for the Conjugate Club. That would be great
Yes, we can add more that are specific. Have you tried any of the getting started guides or 8 week workouts to get started? Also we have a technique feedback section where you can upload video and get expert feedback to help guide you.
There's no reason not to start training with weights right away. To use bench press as an example, start with an empty bar. If that is too light add weight until the weight feels comfortable, then start focusing on form with a weight that is easy but not so easy that it feels like no resistance. If the barbell alone is too heavy, then grab a couple of 10 lb (or lighter, whatever feels comfortable) dumbbells and do dumbbell bench, still focusing on form, and gradually increase the weights until you get stronger and the barbell is manageable. Nothing will help you lift weights more than lifting weights.
@@WestsideBarbellOfficial you have to make the conjugate method understandable and doable for everyone please, even for folks who are not ready to start with a barbell yet. Much appreciated
@@TheShapelessAndFormlessVoid to quote Dave Tate, he says, the negative of the conjugate max effort is there is a high risk for beginners. Make sure they have a solid base, GPP and make sure they know how to do the exercise. I don´t know if I want to take a client of mine that I had that just started working out didn´t work out for 20 years and I say get under the bar and do a max effort good morning. I don´t know how good of an idea that´s going to be because they are not conditioned to do that yet, they don´t even know how to do it. @@rupakshkhow can one not be ready to use a barbell??? If youre a newbie who's not strong, just use the empty barbell and if even that should be to heavy, use dumbbells and a basic plan to build strength. You can easily go from a 20lbs db press to a 95lbs bench within 2 - 3 months

With the plus of looking good without clothes and look like they lift and perform. How should people start the conjugate journey as natural beginners or average dudes. What are the basic steps over a long period of time, say ten plus years to achieve all this. I saw westside vs the world and fell in love with training like that but Im not a powerlifter nor an athlete. Im a dad who wants to become muscular strong and fit. Are the clips shown supposed to be dynamic lifts? This is something I've always noticed -- the movements aren't actually that fast. Aren't the numbers supposed to be 50%, with added bands up to 70% at the top? In which case, it should almost feel like warmup weights, and the bar should be FLYING fast. Yet clips I've always seen, including in this video, never seem to be moving fast. Maybe I've always done it wrong, but when I Dynamic lifted squats, I always used the cue of jumping. When deadlifting, I used the cue of a clean or snatch. Same for benching, I've explode so fast, it would almost lift me off the bench (at lockout) if I didn't have bands holding me down. I guess that's a secondary reason why bands are practically required; without them, the bar goes flying off your back, or you would actually jump during a deadlift, lift up off the bench each lockout, etc., so the bands keep the bar against you, despite going for the explosive movement; you can't "out-speed" the bands. Point is, I don't think I've ever seen a video (for over 20 yrs I've been watching) of an actual Dynamic lift that looks super-fast. I've always done Westside methods for athletic enhancement (not powerlifting) and first did plyometrics in high school (late 80's early 90's) so maybe I was approaching it wrong, but I literally went for as fast an explosive as possible. At 50% at the bottom, this should look a LOT faster than all the clips I ever see.
Is Westside as a gym and brand going to continue on or is it as Louie said it dies with him? Personally I believe, not that my opinion matters, Chuck should inherit the gym and brand. That is if it is going to die with Louie.
more newbie stuff, especially how to program, thx
