    This will be the first recipe they teach us when we go out of our houses.....
    What I use for right consistency: 1:2 for rice and 1:1 for dal... If I take 1cup rice and 1/2cup dal then I use 2.5 to max 2.45 cups of water ... But I use PC

    For health benefits?
    In a video you advised us to increase moong dal consumption and reduce Thuvaram paruppu consumption as much as possible.

    This is called kichadi in Maharashtra. I still remember having it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Side dish was one medium sized potato. Costed me just Rs.2 then. This went for 6 months.
