Great video! Thank you. We have implemented Odoo ourself and went live 1st of October. Its working great! Your videos have been very helpful. Now it is time to look at analytics in the dashboards
You can sort the range for the pivot in odoo 16 (not sure about 17) from the data drop-down. Highlight the cells you want to sort first (example the $ and then the name columns) and sort it z-a or a-z.
Hi, is there a way to add custom group in the pivot table. I am trying to analyse how well some of my products brands are doing. Same things with our products suppliers. Thanks
@@odoo-it-yourself Thanks a lot for the quick reply. Sorry to be a pain but could you please explain a little more. I understand the related field bit. I use that quite a lot in studio but when it comes to pivot table, I haven't found a way to add such a field. the + Add tab is not accessible if I go in studio views/pivot. Presumably I should add the related field someplace else.
GREAT videos. The best I've seen for Odoo. But I don't see a 'getting started' with Odoo one. Would you consider creating one, esp. what version (hosted vs local-install, as well as the various types of local install ... packaged, source, docker)? I'm using the standard hosted, but don't have the ability to do all the things you show in your videos and need to determine the best package and the best way to move to that other version.
Thanks so much for watching and for the kind feedback. I did a series of videos on evaluation ODOO, but I never put together a getting started playlist. I've been thinking a lot about this lately. I did do a video on hosting, but I think I'm going to go more in-depth there too before too long. Here's the video I already made: ua-cam.com/video/TGNM1pPDkuA/v-deo.html Moving to another version can be tricky at times. Sometimes ODOO will do it for you for free, but lately I've heard that they're charging for the service more often than not. If you're fairly early in the game, I'd recommend spinning up an instance on the hosting option you feel is best for you and just exporting and then importing what you've already done.
So great...would be nice to have the possibility to create a dashboard like this, to each one of our clients instead of sending them boring reports... any idea?
Great video. I'm new to Odoo and this video is what I needed. However, when trying to create a dashboard, I do not see 'Insert in Spreadsheet' option from Pivot view. Do I need to install a specific module? Using Odoo17
@@GauravRinwa That should install the module that you need. If you also have the documents app, I'm not sure what might be wrong other than user access rights.
Hi Great video, i wanted to ask you what if i want to use the id in the global filter as the id in the pivot header for example instead of saying: =ODOO.PIVOT.HEADER(1, "employee_id", B1, "measure", "worked_hours") i want to have whatever employee id as whatever employee i have in the global filter.
Thanks a lot for this great video. How can I customize the style in the dashboard? I want my custom dashboard to look like the default odoo ones, like being placed in the middle and not stick to the left. Do you have an idea?
I’ve been looking for an application to handle POS, Inventory and other stuff. Not quite sure what we need but I suspect Odoo could be a nice fit for my wife’s Tea Shop. I like the self hosted nature and I abhor subscriptions
Great tutorial. Thank You Can You tell me Is there a way to make filter with current user related (fithount using record rules)? Eg. displayed on dashboard data are shown only for salesteam on which user id a part of?
Yes. The console i want to use as a layout for each salesman (each layout change i want to make in single place). But i need that user see on this console the sales data from his salesteam (or only his sale)

Glad to hear it's going well and that I've been able to help in some way!
Great video as always. Extremely helpful.
So glad that I found your channel. Been looking for Odoo dashboard tutorials for so long.
Thanks again
I'm glad it helped!
Excellent demo! Thank you.
Super happy to help. Thank you!

Does it persist in the data so it works with the formulas? I’ll have to try that. Thank you!
@@odoo-it-yourself Good point! It does not look like it does.
Dang it! I was hoping it might!

Definitely. You would pull that over as a related field from the product.

Hmmm...that's a good question and I like the use case. Let me think on that.
awsome video thank you ! can you please show us how to use baseline format to show percentage
Are you saying you just want to format a number as a percentage or is there something else you’re wanting?

Is it possible to display a scorecard that show e. g the sales of the last month in a dashboard ? And when a new month comes refresh and start over
Definitely! Set a filter and set the default value for the last 30 days. Hopefully that works for what you're thinking.

If you're doing that, and apply the filter to this pivot, and switch B1 for 1, it should show that employee's name.

So are you looking at trying community then? Could work fairly well, but it does take a bit more than just doing it online.
One more question : I would liketo insert my list view to dashboard but what is the limit, can I enable page wise view?
Hmmm...you want the entire list view in there?

@@odoo-it-yourself any tips how to do it?
Do you have to refresh the data on the sheet every time new records are added?
Not if you make sure to use the odoo.pivot formulas instead of referring to the worksheet and cell where the pivot is.
is it possible to do that, on odoo community??
I haven't messed around with them in community, so I'm not sure. Sorry!
Can you do a weight sale integeration session??
I'll have to look into that. What all are you wanting me to cover?
