What a wonderful video Ron We live in Hoi An and you captured the beauty of this area perfectly Subscribed 🎉waiting for the Da Nang video in anticipation
The bike ride from the heart of Hoi An to An Bang is roughly 25 minutes and is pleasant and easy. The stretch of highway in the open countryside connecting the two has bike lanes on each side.
I agree Jasoos! Sometimes circumstances interfere with my desire to make a longer video. That was the case with this one. I hope you enjoyed the video.
Even though I see a lot of variety at breakfast depending on what country I'm in, I see your point. I think it has to do with a disproportionate number of places catering to certain foreign tastes.
Yes Heiner, you can most definitely get a Grab or taxi from the airport to take you to An Bang. (Might have to walk slightly off the airport to obtain a Grab; not sure. But it wouldn't be a long walk.) Trip should take roughly 45 minutes from the airport, depending on traffic. There are cheap shuttle buses from the airport to points within the city (Da Nang) convenient to most hotels. It may also be possible to get from Da Nang to An Bang via shared minibuses, although I'm not sure if that's possible directly from the airport. Such minibuses are a common means to get from Hoi An to Da Nang. It's likely they also connect with Da Nang from An Bang.
@@OUTBOUNDWITHRON Thanks very much for your detailed answer! We are about same age and it pulls me (and partly my wife...) to SEA too. The last two years we went to Thailand and Cambodia (very nice!) and now we will switch to either Lao or Vietnam instead of crowded Thailand. Not easy to decide.... I follow you now and will see where you go. All the best for you!
Nice video Ron, refreshing to see someone with style and credibility on YT. My opinion the video was not to short. No need to go on and on…we get it, it’s a Good place to go. Thanks
Beautiful. I wrote to two guys, kept up on alot of guys in Vietnam while in high school. Mostly Marines. On r&R or equivalent they wrote, went to beaches in Vietnam. Drugs were available tothem to let go of war. (tragically). I believe they called it crystal. Many are dead from Agent Orange poisoning, age 57 on..... Horrors. Horrific death. I'm wondering if this is beach they went to ????? Can you ask around? inquire ? Gorgeous.
Carter, sorry I don't recall the name but it's easy to find. From road's end at An Bang take the small lane to the right and walk maybe 200 feet. It's on your left. There are potted flowers hanging in the trees leading to the property.
I am searching for a remote beach village accommodation in north Vietnam but so far this is the only place that I find.. high raise buildings that’s all what I see only🤨
Yes, well if you want a small beach village feel without high rises that is intimate yet still close to more urbanized areas (Hoi An, Da Nang) then An Bang shouldn't disappoint. :-)
An Bang is one of the best beaches i ever been. It’s not only the beach itself it’s, the whole area. And don’t forget about the food. ❤
Yes, I love it for the same reasons you do!
Wow! Gorgeous. And that room for $19 is a steal. Who needs overcrowded Bali? Thanks Ron❤
Been there, done that - yes The Bang , perfect
Hoi An beach is so beautiful

Thanks so much Oldies! And congratulations for living in such a wonderful place! May you have many more walks on the beach at An Bang. :-)
Now that, is the breakfast of champions.👍🏻👏🏻✌🏻🤙🏻
How is the bicycle ride from Hoi An to An Bang? Were thinking of staying on An Bang and cycling/taxis to Hoi An? Your thoughts?

This video needs to be longer!

Why is the breakfast mostly the same anywhere? In Italy, it's always sweet biscuits, cookies, like tea time.

Just a short question after you convinced me.... So you fly to Da Nang airport and take taxi, grab, bus to get there?

@@heinerpetersen6778 Many thanks! And for what it's worth, Vietnam and Laos are the best of the best in Southeast Asia.
