A dad who was forced to sell his dream car 15 years ago to support his family could not believe his eyes when he opened his barn door to see the vehicle in which he shared so many happy memories waiting for him. After years of trying, Denny Harvey's family had secretly tracked down his 1959 Edsel Ranger, purchased it and planned a big surprise. According to Denny's son, Anthony, from McCordsville, Indiana, his father had had first purchased the car in 1990, and some of his fondest memories as a child were sitting on his father's lap as he took the vehicle for a spin. Denny loved the vehicle, his family said, and he would take it to car shows with his late brother until he got caught up in bills in 2004. Thinking the car would bring in the most money, which he desperately needed, Denny was forced to sell his beloved Edsel and never saw it again. One day, though, while going through family documents, Anthony came across the vehicle identification number for the car, setting himself the challenge of tracking it down. For some time, Anthony said, he had no luck - but in 2018, he was finally able to find his father's car down and purchase it.

Not always. Some men are just never taught or raised around it. I've seen it trust me 🙄. My ex was like that not emotional, couldn't express himself. He didn't grow up with hugs and stuff🤷♀️. Some family's are like that they just don't know how to show affection. While it comes natural to some or learned at home others don't get it.

Even more disappointed because I'm sure the kids would have liked to see a more enthusiastic response. I just wish the kids could have actually felt like they made his day; instead he gives this *BLAND* response. The kids are standing there probably thinking 'I should have stayed home and watched cartoons', he's not even happy about it.

Yeah.....you're definitely not alone in your disappointment. One major issue for me re. his response is the little kids were looking for him to be thrilled with the gift *and* for him to *SHOW* that happiness. I just hate when grownups can't step out of whatever 'comfort zone' they are in to make the kids feel like this 'act-of-kindness' made his day. Geez....the comments I read about how he just doesn't show emotion or his snarky remarks are just his personality. That's crap......as far as I'm concerned this grumpy old dude can kick rocks.

I wish my daughter and I had any family at all let alone a wonderful caring and loving one like this here makes us cry daily we are currently homeless freezing at night living outside in a broke down car I work but it’s never enough unfortunately w prices and paying to get back and forth to work and school for her and I so most days I go hungry so she doesn’t need to can’t get help bc I work so welfare won’t help no food stamps nothing shelters are all full and dcf can’t help apparently either no funding for us states do not care and lord knows I would die if it meant giving my daughter a family this one makes our hearts melt ❤
