TT Abroad Report: The 2700 Series UZUSHIO Limited Express

On Shikoku Island, a region of Japan not yet served by the Shinkansen network, diesel express trains play important roles in intercity transport. Due to the nature of Shikoku’s mountainous and coastal geography, these trains run through some of the most stunning and varied scenery in Japan. In the first of three trip reports of rail travel in Shikoku, Richard YS takes us aboard the 2700-series Limited Express UZUSHIO travelling between the cities of Tokushima and Takamatsu.
