- MotorEx 22 saw V8 Supercar driver Cam Waters' Ford XB Coupe unveiled. Built by Rob Zahabi and his team from Rides By Kam, this XB Coupe features plenty of unique features, including a custom alcantara trim, custom front and rear ends, and most exciting of all, a V8 Supercar engine out of Cam's FPV team. And you bet your best socks Cam made sure there's a manual transmission to make sure this insane XB Coupe is a buzz to drive.
I’m not a ford man, nor am I a fan of mixing new with old.. but this is gorgeous. A credit to young Cam and everyone involved. A quality build 👍
I am a big fan of building ANY car exactly the way you want it...nice work boys!!
Best aus resto mod I’ve seen so far. What a beauty 👌🏻
Nice car 50 years old
Yep and that's what it looked like 50 year's ago.
@@darrylmackie9184 nah this build looks better than ford factory for sure!
I lost count of how many people walked between the camera and the talent......
Talent? Don't oversell it. 😂
Awesome seen it released the other week with Cam talking about it, and like old mate was saying guards, bonnet boot in Australia🇦🇺, not fenders hood trunk😂 🇦🇺 👍 👊🍻🍻🦘🦘🦘
Apologies for bonbing the shot at 9.55, but what a car 😍
It's a runner 🦅
Excellent car well done
Fenders!‽!
FFS they are guards in Australia cobber.
That aside nice car
It’s pretty much a supercar some of these fords in Australia should go to sema in America and take on the yanks there’s plenty of phat fords in Australia
Gr8 Job . Like the Color .
Would ❤ 2 build one myself.. well have these guys do it 4me . Front end , rear end . Have seen underneath & it's Awesome. Hats off 2 U guys . Sensational Workmanship.
A " Blue Black Pearl " would also be Gr8 👍
A FORD COLOUR!
@darrylmackie9184
Not 2 sure if u r having a Crack @ me 4 my Blue /Black Pearl Choice ?
So has 2 really 🤔 give it 2U .. a Leather Tan interior 👌 And not garbage leather either. Would be Elmo Leather out of Europe
that is beautiful
Hopefully it can be at the Hardtop Anniversary in Tassies next September. 🤞🤞🤞
Beautiful
Yea mate interesting interview but we all just wanted to Vision of the Car
Hope he does drag challenge in the new stick shift category
I’m planning an Aussie street machine build. What sort of budget is required for a build like this?
Maaaad🎉
Can we get a rough idea of the total cost and time frame of this build please?
They said they got it in 2018, and at a guess 500k plus depending on what he was given of course
Nice car but can’t say I’m a fan of the interior. Perhaps it looks better in person
Maaaaad!!
Cost wise....250-300?
Stunning build, well done team.
Double that imo
Supercars engine big $$$...
@@gerardcrabb4556 plus over 2yrs worth of labour, plus unobtainium engine, Ring Bros components…id hate to see the final invoice, easily 500 plus im thinking. In saying that it’s a shame to see so many “catalogue/off the shelf parts” on it… shifter is from Ring Bris catalogue, steering wheel is the exact same as every C10 truck on the planet which imo brought the car down so much, they look good and function well, but you see the same parts on every show car, nothing really unique about it except for that engine
How was Howard’s xc
so we Aussies call manuals stick shift now?
this is what Australia has lost and it is such a shame they had some of the best cars.
Dood...this car needs to be in the new Mad Max movie !!!
A supercar in a 50 year old shell. But still nice.
If you've only got an automatic licence you've got a glorified go-kart licence stick shift all the way this vehicle and build is stout
Think look better without splitter. Sorry just had to.
