Forts is a physics-based RTS where foes design and build custom bases, arm them to the teeth and blast their opponent's creations to rubble.
Build an armoured fort in real-time and arm it to the teeth. Collect resources, develop your tech-tree, unlock advanced weapons to target your opponent's weak points, and feel the satisfaction as their fort comes crashing down.

"I don't have the money for it but I do have the kitties for it." That is the most horrifying yet cute statement I have ever heard.
They are called "Maneki-neko". They are often depicted holding an old coin, and are supposed to bring in money, thats why they produce metal.

Don't wanna start an internet war here, but I think its safe to say many of us younger generations kinda want this whole thing to be over with or kinda just "meh". Some of the older generations are still looking forward to the day of "repatriation". We (PRC and ROC) really have grown up to be quite different, and there will be lots of issues if we are forced back together. Same thing with Hong Kong, I'd say.

yes you do not have to "catch" them - you can watch them any time just like a normal video ....
The reload rate is so fast, is there much point? Flipping between two with refire looks like it would be ~100 metal per second. Bippity Boppity Door.

I faced hum on hang time once and my metal supply was cut off and I couldn't do shit about it.
These cats promote more APM. Incursus said multiple times that he did not have the economy to cover the repair costs; while in reality he was floating a lot of energy. Something that did annoy me a bit; coming from C&C and SC2 , as he could've increased his efficiency.

never underestimate the power of a 20mm, any gun infact. because even a LMG could destroy a whole base
You right, 20mm are my favorite weapons in the game. They are basicly machine guns that shoot small canon rounds. Also, they can cut through wood easily and they splash damage, wich is good to use with a big canon to remove the wood/weaker the enemy fort. Too bad that shields deflect them...
I think you could abuse those cats even more. Maybe it's possible to bring a canon even earlier. This could allow for disgusting rushes.

Also, why would you even need three kittens? The reload time seems very short on them, you could just as well spam a single kitten.

You should do a Forts challenge again. My challenge to you is to only use BG bracing and metal and win a match.

So the golden kitty is a Japanese thing for good luck and fortune, a waving kitten often with a coin on its head. Hence Meowth, the pokemon with the same shape of coin on its forehead able to produce money out of thin air. Its a tale 1000 years old of an Emperor being gestured to come by a kitten only to be moved seconds away from certain death. The kitten gets rewarded, everyone is happy, and waving kitten (the gesture) becomes a symbol of good luck and fortune.
Makes sense to me
All of the commanders have amazing weapons and Pinchfist has...............KITTENS.

Why Incursus likes cannons:

I think people already mentioned the maneki-neko. In Chinese, we call them 招財貓 (zhao1 cai2 mao1; collecting-money cat). Also, the cat us not "waving", as people from Western culture might assume. In Japan/China (and Korea I assume?), we beckon people to come over by wagging our fingers with palm facing down. That's what the cat is doing in order to beckon wealth and fortune towards the cat's owner (commonly for business establishments). Over time, people have asked the cat to collect other general welfare/ good luck/ happiness as well.
The cats are lucky "Maneki Neko" statues, it's an old Japanese tradition though the Gold/Yellow color was introduced more recently and comes from Chinese Feng shui.
There are a couple of folk tales that I won't bore you with but suffice it to say they are considered generally lucky and or good for business.
That first shot of the second salvo of the 20 were godly
Man that ending just goes to show how fast a game can turn completely around. The entire match you were being bombarded and constantly rebuilding and repairing whilst putting out hardly any damage. A couple of attacks later...they lost all their defenses and most of their offense and you were able to constantly bombard them instead. I really love watching this game...I suck at playing it lol

The firering sound at 9:27 is so NICE
Those cats are Uber annoying, everybody in the game will hear that sound and no longer able to hear door opening sound

I have no idea why UA-cam started suggesting these videos for me, but I've enjoyed a lot of them now. I think Google might know me better than I know myself. Somehow I am not scared of that idea.

The amount of rockets his ally sent over the enemy base is...Staggering. volley after volley, sailing harmlessly above...
Here's an idea' with pinchfist, you could probably shoot a millisecond before it expires, just so you can get the initial launch off for half price, but still have it recharge as the rest of he 20 mills continue firing.
"Im going laser" 1 minutt later... "lets place some cannons! "

@@andersonpeng981 well, the way copyright works means, unless the owner says that it's not, it's copyrighted. Originally, that's the author, but most sell or license the copyright for a lot of money, hence the massive corporations throwing around copyright claims.

True, but then he would have had to spend time using the converters while he was under fire. That probably would have been counter productive.
I've just recently started watch you play and never really seen your teammate carried you. However on that second round, I must say that your teammate did a fairly well job cover himself and cover you by helping you cripple the lower player giving you a hard time. I like players like that when they see their partner struggling and take the time to help them stabilize before reengaging their primary target. Well play for everyone.

Some observations:
1) Does having the third cat really provide that much of a benefit? There is a slight cool down on the cats, but two seems to be the point where you can continuously activate the cats. Having 3 seems to save a second or two when you go mass energy to metal conversion, and some redundancy, but provides little else.
2) If the player perfectly converts energy to metal without loss (IE. overflow/float), then turbines provide nearly as much metal as mines, ignoring the cost of the cat itself. The lower cost of the mines = faster actualization of profit =faster rushing.
EX: 300 Energy (E) to 25 Metal (M) is the conversion of the kitty.
An un-upgraded turbine produces 45 energy which reaches 300 at 6.66 seconds. A Mine at 4 metal/s reaches 25 metal at 6.25 seconds. Upgraded these ratios do not change all that much.
But windmills cost 100M less, and 1200E less. The cost of which can be put into T3 weapons/tech, even accounting for addition structure to house the windmills. This might be a window that allows for some terrifying rushing ability.

Long story short a guy thought a cat was waving him over, and when the man came over lightning struck right where he had been standing. So The waving cat is considered a good luck charm.

you could have used the cats multiple times in this video, like for placing metal doors faster and stuff. You always use them in moments where you're not in a rush to do something, and it's simply weird to me.

yes - they can also be taking out by a single bullet from a machine gunner or sniper ... how does this surprise you?
I am surprised you didn't put the kittens into a fire group (since they technically classify as a weapon), and then refire them as a group.

considering the quick use time of the cats you only need one, more than one is kinda overkill unless you have ai level apm, even then not wholly useful

When I played about half a year ago (maybe more). Me and my friends used a cheese tactic. I don't recall losing with it.

Very optimistic view. I've been talking with my 20 year old niece for the last few days while she plays BOTW, every few hours it seems there's a new word she doesn't know, like "scoop" or "warp".
Scentence is a nice word. Must be something like fragrance, but more subtle.
I've only ever heard it pronounced like he did. The only thing I can think is that your mind gets mixed up and say regent instead. Which is a completely different thing.
