If you put a shield at an angle at the front of the prow of the ship, and hit it with a laser, you can have it go almost 90 degrees vertically skyward for a very impressive anti-projectile defense. Gotta have someone on that pretty much full time though. Bonus is that you can have more than one laser shooting at that one shield if you can angle it right. Also if you're using laser for anti-missile, upgraded machine gunners might be faster to get operational and more expendable.

incursus if you ever want to do a missile rush make sure put a min3 on the very end then put the silo before it so that the enemy wont get ready for missiles oh and make sure to cover the silo
I cant think of a good name guy you know it's called rush cause you want it as fast as possible... you need enough ressources for tech, swarms and upgrade center so by the time your mine cover would be up, an enemy could just laser you to death rendering that strat kinda useless...
@@addaccount9246 hope i did not sound offensive or anything. but since the game is about getting your weapons out asap to supress enemy economy you need to finish your t1-weapons at least a few shooting-cycles before the enemies t2 (lasers, cannons), otherweise you'll get outscaled and lose in the end

i think the problem is that the anti-air weapons normally aim in normal gravity, which makes them go down but the missles also come closer, which in turn makes them hit perfectly. but now that it's no gravity, it doesn't only remove the benefit but turns it around

I can understand not wanting to go missile rush for battleships, but you really need to start building anti air before the enemy fields 10 missile silos and it is simply too late if they remember to fire them.
On normal gravity if you background the tiny bracing in front of the cannon the top of the arc aims it right at the enemy's second core and the batteries behind the third. It's triple doored too.
