Lil late but any Mazda is good but an rx8 might not be the best car due to the amount of precautions to not blow your motor there are
If I swapped 2jz without turbo in my rx8...2jz is better or rx8 stock engine

Does having the cold air intake in front of the radiator affect cooling at all? Surely it would sap a proportion of the cold air flow. Not criticising honestly just asking. Fresh fucking car though where in the hell is that bumper from?

dope but waste of money you havnt even done anything major to the engine or swapped it... disappointed to not hear a turbo spool
RX8 engines don't accept a turbo well. You can only run 5 psi max and even then you risk overheating and blowing your engine. RX8s are all about the driving experience. Take one down a small curvy back road and feel the 50-50 balance on sticky tires. It's not all about the power and it's definitely not a waste of money.
I'm about to supercharge my own RX8 with the Pettit setup at 8PSI using the MazdaManiac tune, AEM cold air intake, catless BHR resonated midpipe, and a full set up Ryan Rotary Performance 6-rib pulleys with a thicker belt to negate belt slippage.However, I notice you said that 5psi is the max for a 13B - do you think my 8PSI supercharger is going to promptly blow my apex seals out the exhaust, or is it a little different for superchargers since the boost is linear instead of coming on in a sort of sudden power-spike like turbos tend to?

Exactly it's better to Bridgeport that's the way to increase your hp on a rotary.
I think it all comes down to a reliable setup and a good tune more than anything. I've been doing a lot of research on this subject lately and it seems most people can run 5-8psi on a stock Renny with a good tune and a few optional bolt-on cooling mods like the RE-medy water pump, better radiator, etc. Here are a few threads I found from people who have actually done this. But then again the 13bs on rx8s are not the best. Get the rx7 13bs.. the 13b-REW. Best rotatry built imo
