how do you sing those, i am here trying to cry and make the high note but all that comes out is tension in my throat

For us it's not so simple as just crying. The tension is probably there due to some "fry" like feeling in the throat, overbearing amounts of compression right?
Try to work your way up by losing that fry tension and get the sound to be more open and even juts a tiny bit breathier and lighter.
It's still going to be chest voice, but in a proper way.
I'm struggling with the same thing and only recently found the solution. It's hard to let go of tension habits.

Mixing it and having it sound heady like In the video isn’t all that difficult, but actually sounding like Adam pascal in pity the child isn’t that. It’s just not the same sound
