  • If you're looking for a 'London must-see', especially the unique Near Eastern architecture and artefacts, look no further! After 18 years and running over budget from £8 million to £9.6 million, Leighton House reopened and was immediately shortlisted as the Art Fund Museum of the Year 2023.
This Arab Hall with a golden dome, Ottoman iznik tiles, verses from the Quran and Shahada, mosaic art inspired by the Great Mosque of Damascus, is in a Victorian house in London's Holland Park!
Lord Frederic Leighton PRA (1830-1896, 9th President of the Royal Academy of Arts) called this home and his art studio. As one of the most eminent Victorian artists, Leighton House Museum displays his talented paintings, sculptures and sketches, and also exhibits paintings by his contemporaries such as Walter Crane and the pre-Raphaelite, Sir John Everett Millais.
