Hello Matt! This was really cool video with lot of interesting insights... thanks. The mentioned Guns N' Roses & Skid Row consert must have been awesome 💥 Damn I would have like to saw Gn'R in their prime. I bet that it was spetacular. Some of my experiences in the below: The Best Concert: Shadow of Intent (with Enterprice Earth, Angelmaker and To The Grave). The whole evening and the bands were perfect. It was a quite small venue with audience very near to the bands. I didn't even know all the supporting bands, but became an instant fan of all of them. The Most Seen Band: Orbit Culture (needs no explanation 😁) The Band I Got Happy to See: The Prodigy (with Keith Flint). In early 20's, I was a big fan of The Prodigy and fortunately managed to see them before Keith's pass away. The Band I Wish I Could Have Seen: Linking Park. Quite same as with The Prodigy, but unfortunately didn't ever saw them live. Still remenber how much Chester's pass away touched me 😢 The Last Concert: Aborted. In fact, this one was in one metal festival, but Aborted was for me the main band in the festival. Great show and Sven was a great/charismatic person on the stage. The Next Concert: propably Sigur Ros supported with a symphony orchestra. Really waiting this one (seeing them for the first time) and pretty sure that this symphony hall concert will be quite an experience.
It’s awesome that you mentioned prodigy. Back in the mid 90’s I was at an all night Rave in Miami and Prodigy was the headliner. My brother was involved in the Miami nightclub scene, so after the rave we went to a small rooftop bar to watch the sun come up on the beach and to my surprise the guys in Prodigy where there with us. It was super cool. I will never forget that one. Thank you for reminding me of that great memory🤘 I need to check out more from Aborted. I feel like I would really like them.
@@MattsMoshPit1 Wow... That must have been awesome to met The Prodigy in person in a small rooftop! Aborted was very entertaining at live. Great state presense and energy throughout the entire show, and Sven took a lot contact with the audience. If you have not seen their most recent release (with Ben Duerr), it's more than worth to check out (although this visualizer video being a BIT gore 😅) : ABORTED - Dreadbringer (ft. Ben Duerr of Shadow Of Intent) (OFFICIAL VISUALIZER)
I think I have the same “concert problem” as you have, there are way to many concerts I want to go to from mid September to early December. I’m going to have to prioritize but it’s not going to be easy. Here is my list 🙂: First concert: I don’t remember but the first band I saw when concerts where allowed again back in 2021 was Alphaville. Last concert: Molly Sandén Worst concert: Amon Amarth (wasn’t the bands fault, they where great but the pyro set of the fire alarm and everybody had to wait outside the arena for over half an hour in December 🥶). Best concert: Watain Most seen band: Behemoth Wish I could have see: Candlemass with Messiah Marcolin. They are still around and I have seen them with other vocalists but it’s not the same 😐. Next concert: Amon Amarth (with The Halo Effect and Insomnium).
I am so glad you are giving Amon Amarth another shot. That show sounds awesome. I love the halo effect. I am also jealous about Behemoth. I don’t typically gravitate towards black metal, but I do like Behemoth and watching interviews with Nergal. Next time they come here, I definitely have to go. Thank you for sharing my friend
@@MattsMoshPit1 I have actually seen Amon Amarth a couple of times after that show, I was more hesitant to give the arena a second chance 🥶. Maybe this isn’t you but I feel like a lot of people that don’t like black metal mostly have come in contact with second wave Scandinavian black metal and/or bands that are heavily inspired by that style and give up on all black metal when they don’t like it. There are other subgenres and fusion genres that I think a lot of people that like other types of extreme metal probably would like. Behemoth plays blackened death metal and it seems like a lot of people prefer that to traditional black metal.
Thank you for explaining. It is safe to say that I like. Blackened death metal rather than black metal. I am willing to listen to anything, but so far what I have heard is not for me. I do want to love it though.
@@MattsMoshPit1 Lol 🤣way too many times. But hey, they weren't my first concert 😂that was Tarja back in 2012 I believe. But I'm 100% positive they're my most-seen band (probably followed by Tarja as I've been a fan the longest and she tours in my area frequently). I've seen them 13 times now out of which 11 were in 2023/2024. 14 is coming up on Sept 14 and I'm working on no. 15 in October, so fingers crossed it works out somehow. They're almost always my last and next concert 🥰
Really cool answers, it's nice that you recorded them like this. The stories around them are interesting. Seeing Prince would have been legendary, I think. I posted my answers to insta and my last concert to date was Feuerschwanz back in May. My friend, who went to that with me, reacted with : "What? No others since Feuerschwanz? Are you OK? Do I need to worry?" 😂
lol! I feel like I would say the same thing. Then again I have heard from a bunch of European viewers that it’s harder to get to concerts than it may be for me. So I also understand if there is a gap in between concerts. For me I have been calling this year “ the year of Matt”, so I am basically going to every show I can without regret or judgement. That’s why I ended up getting a ticket for Nanowar of Steel. I would like to think that the “ year of Matt” will continue into next year, but at some point I’ll have to take a little break from all of the concerts. We’ll see 😉. Thank you for the idea for the video. I saw yours and a few others and wanted to participate. So you helped inspire this one 🤘
@@MattsMoshPit1 Yeah, hope you had fun preparing this one. For me, it's been mostly because it's festival season, and they've been mostly sold out since last year, so I haven't been to any. And I always need to travel, make plans in case I have to sleep somewhere else etc. So I'm not going to a ton of concerts in general. Tbh not exactly my first choice of activity when it's 30+ degrees C.

I've seen this one going around recently too. The thing is, I always fill them in but never post them as I'm not satisfied with my answers.
I wouldn’t worry about your answers at all. My question is how many times does Stellvris show up 😉. No judgement what so ever, it’s all in good fun!

Yeah, I can’t blame you. I am not a fan of the heat. That might be why I haven’t been to an outdoor show in a long time.
