Absolutely we want more of these types of videos. I'm particularly interested in seeing how you set up those back drops with offset colors and get those crispy beautiful lines. Thanks for sharing all of this content, it's invaluable.
Love this format Scott. I've often found the most educational videos on UA-cam are when you're simply allowed a peek behind the curtain of a professional at work👍 Brilliant stuff, thanks for the great content.
100% great video. These "walk throughs" are invaluable in getting insight into what your process is and how you think through a project. LOVE THIS!!!!!!
More of these videos would be great. Love to see you using the old RZ glass. I recently tried my old RB K/L 180mm on GFX and was pleasantly surprised. Looking forward to more of your videos.
We absolutely want more of these, the video is absolutely informative and quite revealing. I just learnt something about lighting I didn't know for as along as I have been a photographer. Thanks Scott, we appreciate you !
Great that you are showing your audience, works well. I remember doing this shit years ago, we'd call it retail. Everything from Ryobi power tools to Michael Hill wedding rings, TV dinners, Maccas burgers to Dulux paints. Fun and games, your audience will love it. Have a great weekend Scott!!
Yes please, more of this! I love these slow pacing, inspective kind of shots in the studio. Nothing too complicated, just a good idea and a good process to get there.
These style of videos are definitely my personal favourite. Obviously I’m only one opinion out of hundreds, but I definitely like these videos much more
Absolutely more. It is great to see how you approach problems, what is important to you, etc. I have some product photos I need to retake and you have a very different process than others I have seen. Lastly, it is seeing the intention behind the shot.
Great demonstration to emphasis that the basic technical skill to make a still life is a combination of Knowledge, experience and insight, while the creative process is refining the image to make it visually comfortable for the viewer to experience and appreciate.
Yes, absolutely do more of these. I love seeing the creative process of others. If I see an aspect of an artist's process that I like, or perhaps something that hadn't occurred to me, I cherry pick those things and incorporate them into my own process. This was enjoyable to watch.
Scott I fricken love this kind of thing. Don't get me wrong love your other stuff as well. But it's so nice to see someone at your level going thru the process. Top shelf.
Absolutely. More how to videos, less "you don't need this kit" videos. I would love to see a video where you produce a shot that shows the advantages of the movement flexibility offered by the Cambo.
Hey Scott. Congratulations on your recent purchase. You are like a little kid who got new toys for Christmas. One can see how happy you are. I like your work very much. In fact you inspired me as a photographer in many ways. Keep creating Greetings from Germany.
Yeah I love this type of videos. Very instructive and educational. How to work with the lights, the subject, etc. I frequently watch another channel that does similar things.
A lot of finessing for what is supposed to look like a random assortment of candies. But that is what takes to do something professionally. It looks really nice and the video is inspirational.
This is the perfect video! So therapeutic to watch and really helpful. I would love to se more of this kind of content. Even though I love your usual videos too :)
One of the things I like most about him is small things he says that most photographers, because photographers have a habit of exaggerating what it really takes for them to get the photo they got or making things out to be a bigger deal than what they actually were, don't admit to. Portrait/fashion side is rife with that. Such as here when he said that you don't need a stylist for some of the things he did. Although if it was an assignment with an agency, a company client, etc.... then a stylist might be brought in.
Toffee pennies are the last to go here, in fact there’s one left over on the coffee table now. You’re welcome to come and collect… Great insights again, thank you.
Loving this video like many others, i brought a couple of your online workshops lately and learned so much, more of these would be fantastic to compliment the learning while i practice.
Love the vid Scott, for us hobby photographers it acts as a challenge and a how to video in one. Even if we don't have a tin of roses chocolates, we can try a load of wine gums or a load of old coins, it makes us think what else could be interesting to photograph in this style....more more more 😀
Love this process. I would like to give a try too. I like the chaos/ordered splashed items pictures. I'm curious but what is the main tripod/stand of your camera?
Great video. The subject seemed boring, but the final photo looks quite good. It would be interesting to compare the Fuji to Phase One. Would there be any situation where the Fuji is not good enough?
I love tether techniques... down shooting at objects is one of my favorite jams! During the end of covid, I took some multi media classes to wait things out and had already shot some product photography from a few years back. I used my downshoot as my class finial and got to choose my subject for myself. The main difference in gear was I that a difused alien bee ringflash, foamcore, and arranged small antique objects to create larger scenes. I knocked those pictures out of the park!

Love seeing the work that goes into these shots. Really helpful to see how much time and fiddling goes in to these to get these right.

Great video. The subject seemed boring, but the final photo looks quite good.
It would be interesting to compare the Fuji to Phase One. Would there be any situation where the Fuji is not good enough?
I enjoyed seeing it even if I don’t do these kind of work. What I would also like to understand a bit more of is reasoning behind the composition.
interessting to see how other stilllifers work - like!

God I love that fastiduiousness of this technique. The smallest change has the most drastic results. So satisfying to watch someone else nail it!
