I'm from the Isle of man and know what these guys @gals put on the line but I would have had 2 stop to make sure the rider was OK balls my race but!!!!!!! And it looks like they touched greetings from Douglas
The guys getting passed are on the edge . It basically comes down to how much your willing to risk . Or don't realise how much your risking because your confidence overides your fear mechanism. Either way these guys are gladiators .

While I see the logic about having an empty stomach while racing here, I would think it’s in case they crash that way surgeons and drs can operate right away. Same reason why if you come across a bike accident you try not to give the victim any water even if they ask for it.
This may sound mad, but how is it that the law may be suspended and people allowed to travel through villages at 200 miles per hour ? Don`t get me wrong, I`m thrilled that the law is suspended for this occasion. I am just curious as to how.

I just don`t see how and only wished someone would point out to me how it is that they are within the law. Consider insurance. I was in Spain a few years ago and saw kids riding 1000cc bykes up and down the Boulavards at a mere 100mph, but with no crash - hats. Who are their insurers ? I thought Insurance Companies were International Corporations. Therefore I wonder what price the insurance of a teenager riding a 1000cc byke without a helmet in the UK. Its not insurable - on the grounds that its not legal.... In the same way I wonder how a law may be suspended and insurance provided for the riders of this race. Mathew`s answer, ".... cos it is agreed upon" is hardly an answer. I`m here to leanr, not teach.
