  • Epic Marble Run 1 - Marble Race
Choose your marble and see how they race through this marble track. This is super fun and excellent for physics education. This is from Marble Run, a PC and Mac game from Steam that lets you create your own tracks really easily.

I saw the thumbnail and I was like, where did that marble run come from as it looked cool, only to realise it was a computer game. Nice video. I wish the tracks we built could be as elaborate!!

I didn't realise this was available on PC. I know what I'm doing when I wake up.

it's almost impossible to build anything on this game, the item placement is allowed only on the weirdest parts possible, just terrible.

Yawn, it's not real and cannot by definition be random since a computer is involved so the races are bogus. I'm a 30 year career IT engineer. I know the ropes.

I dont know if there is one, but there should be a way to make it random, like a mixer at the start, such as the one used in bingo games.

@@TyDominoGuy I suggest you Google "lavarand" and note that the output from this contrivance was then used to seed a pseudo random number generator so pay attention to the word pseudo. It means that it's not really random. In fact it is almost impossible to generate a completely random number, I say almost impossible because it's not really known whether you can or cannot generate one using some method.

    • @TyDominoGuy

@@BrokebackBob The thing is, if you spin the balls around and then remove the spinner piece, it is very unlikely that the marbles will start in the same spot as the previous time. I agree there is no "random", but you can start the marbles in a different position every time by mixing them around.

@@TyDominoGuy That isn't be random either unless there is some sort of user input. If it sinned an exact amount of time, the marbles would still always start in the same order.

@@psynrg There is no real randomness. We live in a causally deterministic world. When you toss a coin with the exact same force, gravity and wind velocity, the coin will always land on a determined side.
