Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This UA-cam channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

That was a FANTASTIC round of golf! If Rick chipped and putted like that he’d break 75 every episode. Don’t think I’ve ever seen him hole that many putts without the nerves kicking in in on the back 9 and destroying his round. Loved every minute of this one. Bravo!

Who would have thought such short holes could cause so much trouble? Great video and the editing, audio and music are just getting better and better
I constantly overshoot them. I always expect to hit a golf club not as square as a I do on a driving range compared to on a course because of pressure. So I go down an iron or so than usual for more distance and then always make perfect contact and end up in the rough or out of bounds. Opposite on a 300+ yard hole I always hit the ground too much teeing off and lose a lot of distance almost every time.
Golf just does that to you.
Ricks short game looks so much better. Confident with the swing and quick to make a decision on what shot to play , good work rick …how did you find time to practice with all the content
He has improved. I think it helps not being on a tour caliber course too
You can see that old habits die hard though, second shot on the 16th is surely never a putt, but as soon as he saw his drive get within 40 or so yards he instantly thinks “putting” 😂
... Make content with a short game specialist! Looks like he's incorporating some of the Dan Grieves techniques he was taught.

When you had your first pitch shot on 1, I watched for and saw what appeared to be the implementation of what you worked on during your short game lesson! Amazing to close the loop on both videos!
My dad used to play with Zane in club comps when he was a junior at Cobtree. It’s always stuck with me how he used to always say that not only was he one the best players he’d ever seen but how polite and great company he was playing with a guy some 30 years his senior. If anyone deserves success in life it’s this guy

Rick, Love the videos, great graphics in the top right when you tee off, But I'd love to see the club your using in the graphics, your really good at saying what club you use most of the time but a graphic to show the club on the shot would be really great. Helpful for us beginners, Thanks for all your hard work.

Rick, I'm 42, and I started playing golf about 8 months ago after watching your content as well as good good. Your channel, especially, showed me it's okay "even for pros" to have bad shots now and again. Golf has quickly become all I think about. I play 1-2 times every week and am starting to get it under control "for the most part". I wanted to say thank you Rick. At my age, I didn't think I would find something new that I truly love. I very much appreciate you sir.

Neat golf course. Looks to me like they need to thin out some of the trees and get some air circulation and sun on some of those greens.

I remember reading about 16 year old Zane Scotland qualifying for The Open.
I have just learned that The R & A has recruited Zane Scotland to be a 'Diversity Ambassodor.' He must have been the first British golfer of colour on the European Tour. And glad to see a golfer of colour featured on a top UK Golf UA-camr.
People may think I am being petty about a golfer of colour, but when I go to a driving range or when I used to go into a club house and I was the only one who did not get dark from a sun tan, felt quite uncomfortable. But I loved playing golf so had to put up with being uncomfortable.
I’ve played Sunningdale Heath several times. It a lovely course and a great test of your short game.
Did exactly the same thing last week missing the green straight into the car park, your heart drops as you run over saying, ' please no! Don't have hit a car.' Luckily I didn't. Horrible feeling though.

How to be Rick Shiels, say be phenomenal when the ball is missing the green and click your fingers every time you hit a pitch or putt and the ball is going 20 foot past.

Another great video Rick! After watching most of your live golf challenges, I'm intrigued as to why you try and shape every long shot? Seems to complicate things! I reckon you'd score better with a stock draw or fade.

I played there 2 weeks ago. I broke 75 which was my aim , I’m a 16 handicap. Then we played again straight after ! The greens were lightning !! Love it Rick. Very tough course

Just a question though: shouldn't Zane have gotten a penalty stroke (or 2?) on the 13th green due to putting with 1 foot on either side of the putting line? Or doesn't this rule apply if you are standing on the other side of the hole?

Rick you are a very good golfer! What makes so enjoyable to watch is when you have a bad hole, something the rest of us can relate to, the par 3 fifth when you shoot a 5. We can all relate to that. But, you shrugged it off, something that we all need to do and can learn from you.
I have been watching this channel for years and love your videos! Great Work! However there is one thing about Rick's game that has bothered me for years now: 90% of his misses are hooks to the left. If he misses an iron, it nearly always is overdrawn or hooked. Why doesn't he (as a former golf coach) neutralize his path and club face at impact? I just don´t get it... Keep up the great work!!!

What does the little white box that pops up beside the hole info when they tee up? Example it will say SI 13 on hole 6? What does that mean?
