Yeah, I thought Daz's reaction to it was kind of insensitive. I agree with the videos comments, some people leave their loved ones ashes to rot on a shelf for eternity. I want to be naturally buried, no embalming or stone coffins, but if my family disobeyed my wishes and cremated me I'd rather be turned into a pretty painting than sit on a shelf, rotting.
@CL0WNP4RTY yeah, it's one thing to not like an art piece, and be critical. It's a whole other thing to describe someone ashes like that. That would be a low blow if it was my family member or friend. I get he's just trying to be funny, so no real harm done. Just hope the family don't see people saying unkind things about their childs remains.

Honestly Daz shitting on the beach + galaxy painting with the ashes was sad :( The painting actually turned out beautifully (seen the reel before) and I think it's an awesome way to remember someone. Not just an urn on your table that you forget about, they get turned into a gorgeous painting, and the person who passed away loved beaches and starry skies, which is why the artist mixed them
i agree. i think that if the person grieving wanted that for their passed daughter, and thats the way they wanted to remember her, its a beautiful way to represent what she liked (the beach and the galaxy) made me quite disappointed when he was trying to be funny by saying "just remember them!" bereavement is so difficult to live with and everyone has ways to help with it, came to the comments to see if anyone thought the same, made me sad too. people keep ashes in urns, lockets etc, in my opinion this is no different and i personally think it was really touching.
it's the same with the cats ashes in the baby doll, I love that creator and she's explained why she has it so many times. The cats ashes are in the doll so she can cuddle it or whatever, people grieve differently.

See I can understand both sides like yes it was slightly disrespectful but on the other hand don’t actually show the persons ashes in the video, even if the client was okay with the video being posted it just feels wrong to show somone’s dead relative on video especially when its for something as sentimental as a rememberance art piece.
Anytime he yells in that high pitched angry annoyed voice it cracks me up 😂😂😂 like the "shut up!!" Made me laugh so hard 😂

The cremated remains one I actually like. It's something nicer than just hiding them in a jar. There's lots of artists that do cool things. Like glass art, figurine art, paintings 💕
I saw the finished result. It was absolutely gorgeous. People already get tattoos from their loved one's ashes, or jewellery. A resin/epoxy painting seems a good way for people to mourn.
Not for me though.
I don’t particularly agree with the art thing on that clip but I do like the idea of having the ashes turned into jewellery of sorts, I think that’s more of a lovely memory to keep
@@wildsilverfox3149 I have some of my dad's ashes in a pendant, my sister got them for all us siblings and my mum, and it honestly is comforting, I feel more comfort and connection by wearing that pendant then I do visiting his grave to be honest.

man glad i watched this video, been down lately after my mom passed away a few weeks ago and been trying to save her home and other belongings but its been really hard we are barely surviving always low on money and food but we are hanging in there and i actually got to laugh from this video thank you so much Daz for taking the time for everyone to cheer us up.

Painting with human remains is actually considered to be super respectful and an act of love. I say this as an artist(I don't paint with remains, I'm full on digital.) It makes the commissioner very happy and brings them a great sense of comfort, especially when the painting involves something that the lost one loved. They only use a little bit of remains.

@@Ccheeseccakess I could have phrased it better but only some of it's weird. Really it depends on what is being painted. A beach scene is great. I hang around with a lot of artist who've been commissioned some fairly inappropriate stuff in honor of someone. I think every artist has some form of story where someone has tried to commission something that wasn't appropriate. Especially if it's something to honor another person.
Humans have always been weird about what makes us feel better when a loved one passes away. In the Victorian era, people used to LITERALLY take family pictures with their dead family member. It's really freaky because they take it like the deceased one is alive still, but you can just tell which one's dead.
Compared to THAT, using their ashes for art is beautiful 😭, which I think anyway, but it puts it into perspective

It's probably because it's such an extreme for what is traditionally done. I, personally can't wrap my head around it, but I wouldn't out or disrespect someone who wanted that done to their ashes.

Right, the finished painting was of a beach with a galaxy as the water, cause that was what the client's daughter loved. It's a touching way to remember her.
Granted I'm pretty sure having an urn in the home isn't a British thing (it isn't here), so he might find that weird too.

I personally think painting with the remains with your loved ones is absolutely beautiful. It’s a wonderful way to take their ashes and create something with meaning with it. It may be a bit odd to you. But, personally I would rather prefer someone paint a beautiful picture with my ashes than simply hiding them in an urn. Then again it’s all up to preference and what the passed on person wanted before they died.
I paint a little as well and I would appreciate someone painting with my ashes instead of them just sitting in an urn.

Tbh I think it is a nice and unique way the painting with ashes. People also use the ashes from there loved onces in tattoo's so why not like this? My opinion is that it is a nice unique way to keep your loved onces with you but that is my opinion ;)

@@Nixmeri2411 the cat is so she can still hug her kitty without having to hold a cold urn. She also made the doll herself, i would want to hug my kitty too, and holding onto an urn feels meaningless, at least to me
@@Dreagon-yc3zq i can see why holding a kitty would be more comforting than a couple urn but the idea just makes me feel kind of queasy but like I said, I don’t need to like or agree with that way of memorialising the pet since they aren’t my pet. I have a fluffy cat that has kind of become a support animal for me and I know one day she’ll be gone, I understand the attachment and would probably get a replication of Trixie (her name) in stuffed animal form so I could hug when I needed.

I’m also a firm believer that music is subjective, so not everyone has the same taste and that’s okay!
