I'll never forget this day. My dad was the 1st to hear it on the news, I'd been asleep (I'm in poor health & bedbound) He knew how much I loved Matthew, how much I feared we'd lose him early. He knew friends was the 1 thing that keeps me going, feel less alone and make me smile on days when j feel like giving up. He didn't want to tell me. I screamed and just broke down saying it can't be true and is he sure it's not another celebrity death hoax. Looked online and it was true. Haven't stopped crying since. A truly special man who will always hold a place in my heart & mind forever. I hope you're at peace now, Matty, free from pain and struggle 😪

Addiction is not the problem...Root cause is personal issues...I agree divorce is a boon...but when your parents get separated during your formative years it leaves a deep trauma inside you...and one tends to lean on anything that gives them confort...some go become an over eater...some drugs...some alcohol...I just hope parents realize this and think about their kids before they think of themselves ...
Sometimes a divorce is less traumatic than living with two adults who are miserable and desperate. He had a great family, he just processed his childhood traumatically.

A few years back I realized that I had never watched a single episode of friends.
Then I would kinda brag about it.
Not that I'm above it, I binge watched the Seinfeld DVDs.
But I feel like I was just able to avoid more cultural conditioning.
I don't know if I will ever see it.
But now I am listening to Matthew Perrys book. I'm an "addict" too and I am always looking for information on how to beat it.
I know he has already helped me.
It was just his time.
He's in the field now.

Go watch it. Seriously, you don't know what you're missing. It's 1 of the best sitcoms in history and wasn't afraid to make jokes that in today's day and age people would be up in arms, calling for it to be cancelled. Matthew was phenomenal as his role as Chandler. The best in the show in my opinion. I've watched each episode tens of times, it's just great 👍

It's difficult to describe the moment I read the news. It was as if every thought and emotion just vanished into thin air and everything around me just became dead silent. All I heard was my inner monologue repeating the sentence "Actor Matthew Perry has passed away" as I just sat there completely dazed. I think it could've also been because I was in the middle of a Friends rewatch and finished a episode probably not even a half an hour earlier. It was just was just so surreal.

Matthew was the least phony and rang true throughout his dialog. The others seemed to have a level of self awareness that Matthew could drop. He was really REAL with his character. No presence. Wasn't wondering if his hair or boobs looked right.

He was alone that’s what that does to some people I have had friends that killed themselves either from a bunch of pills I had a friend who hung himself all over a girl that didn’t want to be with him so sad kids I babysat for. Too crazy world we live in. I had a friend who killed himself by getting hit by a train because his mother treated him different from his sister I can go on but that’s how depression get to people .
I understand why some actors work in Los Angeles & live in the Midwest for a better quality of life. There's no guarantee everything will be perfect there either but its a chance.

It's murder. Fans of 54-year-old Matthew Perry, who passed away on November 28, are in shock: it became known that the actor seems to have died in a different way than previously thought. And in light of the newly discovered fact, the whole story looks very suspicious. The new twist in the story of the actor's death was reported by TMZ.
According to initial reports, things looked tragic, but extremely clear. Perry was believed to have drowned in a hot tub at his mansion located in Pacific Palisades. He was found by a personal assistant, who then explained that Matthew had sent him out on an errand, having run it he returned - and found the actor in the water with no signs of life. He allegedly immediately called an ambulance and tried to bring Perry back to life himself. However, a police source has now revealed that, as revealed by the autopsy, Perry's body was actually removed from the water long before the doctors arrived. And they, by the way, arrived on the scene within minutes of being called. So it's pretty clear that Perry's assistant lied. And since he's the only witness in this case, it's now questionable whether his testimony can be believed at all. Which begs the question, how did Perry really die? And was Matthew alone at that moment, as claimed by the actor's assistant, whose words, by the way, no one could confirm.
Perry fans were alarmed by another fact. It was officially announced that the death of the actor is investigated by a special police unit - Robbery and Homicide Division. On the hot trail, the police did not seem to suspect that any crime had taken place, but specified: "at this stage of the investigation". In other words, there is a possibility that later the version of events may change. Meanwhile, as it became known after the death of the actor, Matthew at the time of his death owned an impressive fortune of 120 million dollars. And to whom it will get, is not yet disclosed. So today only the lawyers of the deceased and investigators are aware of who, at least financially, was beneficial to the death of Matthew Perry.

Well…generally, when you’re the only one without loved ones or family of any kind, especially despite trying your whole life to have them while also battling the two worst addictions you can have…it’s not hard to guess that you’ll be first. Love is what keeps people going. When you’re denied it, it tends to cut your life extremely short.
We can't get over any or all Hollywood actors making ONE MILLION DOLLARS a week. That kind of income is sickening to hear. That kind of money can be put to much better use.
They received one million a week because the show generated millions every week in ad revenue. If the actors didn't receive large paychecks for being the draws of the show, people would have complained that studios and producers were greedy, not paying the talent their worth. There are sports figures making as much or more than that every year. The size of the audience determines the rate.
