The medical-based answers gave me hope that slowly we are able to unlock the virus. The "We don't know yet" answers warned me to stay vigilant. I will miss this show. It is a strange feeling - I really want to move on from the bad memories of the lockdowns but this show wrapping up is bittersweet. Thank you DW for your community service - globally. Thank you to the researchers and all the staff who painstakingly created the daily content. Thank you to Derek for being the calm within the storm , the face of this segment. His BTS videos were adorable! Who knew he had those filming struggles at all!

When you see what is happening in China with an enormous wave and massive death tolls right now, it does seem like a strange time for this series to come to an end. The wave in China will spread, it's not going to be as bad as in China because the population there isn't as vaccinated and even the people who have been vaccinated are in more danger because the Chinese vaccine is not as good. However with the amount of cases in China being so high, it will have very negative consequences around the world. It would be nice for this series to continue to cover this.

As someone who worked on Animal Outbreaks for many years, we did not take enough prevention measures at the start to protect ourselves, tough measures are needed to slow the spread you cannot stop it spreading but you can slow it, which means more time to put further necessary measures into place, i would have closed all flights to prevent spread at the start.
I'm full of admiration for the effort and dedication of the DW teams involved in these programs. Special thanks to Derrick Williams for his engaging and thorough presentations on so many aspects of the pandemic over these three years. Best wishes from a grateful US viewer!

I got sick for two weeks with covid19 variant after home testing tested. positive. Since stocked up with lots of canned and frozen foods, I self quarantined, didn’t go anywhere. Drink plenty, tons of chicken soups, experimented baking pastries and breads mean while checking my oxygen absorption level. Thank god I recovered well. Depending on immune systems, people should eat well and stay away from going out spreading to others even to family members or crowding hospitals. Take care of yourself. Happy new year

Hello DW News, Given your 'professional' coverage of Kosovo crisis in the last, more than 30 year, I was wondering if there will be any reporting regarding Serbian child and young man being shot at and wounded in drive-by attack by the member of Albanian security forces? Considering values that EU holds to such a high regards, you can explain that we all must have understanding for this patriotic Albanian as he must have been heavily provoked by children carrying oak branches that are part of Orthodox Christmas celebrations… This happened few days ago, not a single mention in mainstream Western media... Shame on you.
Unfortunately, there are always people out there who won’t trust the science. I finally caught covid this past December. Because I was vaxxed & boosted, it only lasted 7 days. I do have terrible tinnitus, and sleep a lot (once for 35 hours) but that’s slowly going away. I’m 70, & expected to get really sick, because I was overdue for the new booster.
It's a genuine shame that China continues to be a trading partner despite the devastation caused from its deceit and utter aggression. If there is one lesson these past 3 years have taught us, it must be that China, like Russia, should never be a trusted partner again, and that we must decouple entirely from them, no matter the cost!

When you see what is happening in China with an enormous wave and massive death tolls right now, it does seem like a strange time for this series to come to an end.
The wave in China will spread, it's not going to be as bad as in China because the population there isn't as vaccinated and even the people who have been vaccinated are in more danger because the Chinese vaccine is not as good. However with the amount of cases in China being so high, it will have very negative consequences around the world.
