Turn meter is weird, but he's immune to turn meter manipulation, so it may be masteries that affect turn meter trying to act. I would assume it's a visual glitch more than anything.
The extra free near insta-kill is a pain. I was actually surprised he didn't go off in the video at one point, though that part may have been cut. I cut a lot.
I don't doubt it. You have to read his skills, and you still have no idea what's going on. I don't know if this effort was phoned in on a sick day, or just outright bad. Prolly both 😆
Good point, thanks for the tip. If it helps, my bonuses for Cursed City are +2 speed. (yup, that's it). Edit: Nope double checked, +4 speed, +6% CD, +6% Ignore Defense. Nothing major, but it is something I need to be aware of. Appreciate the feedback, truly.
Duchess may work, though not a cleanser. Wythir may work but not a reviver. Raglin brings a lot of what Elva does, but elva's passive heal is so massive. You're looking for healing/cleansing, and occasional block debuffs if possible. Elva brings so much, it's hard to replicate sadly. Even someone like Ursala could be an option. That's me just looking at who I have available on my account though. Good luck!
i have expensive surround and up more than normal and can hardly hear you without cranking it. just a heads up. its louder than where i normally have to turn all other hosts down volumetrically. maybe itd help ur numbers and retention in the future also. will sub tho cuz i like ur info and style when it comes to this game. and mostly thanks for the info. my best ppl including a mythical or two cant get very far and im low level and slaying at end game level on most everything including hydra, am not a whale but my year of playing so far until recently i spent 12+hours daily playing cuz i refuse to use auto except in potion dungeons and farming on spider. it doesnt have an "if this then that" format like it should and i can always do more damage with a team i know well than wishing i could get the team to auto the same things i do. but im low level and can only get to Amius on hard for some reason, but he owns me from healing and making my mythical just keep changing to the form i need least with entire team asleep or dead most the time. i tried on a friends accout on normal and they had endgame level and stats and i couldnt beat him for them either.
I have vocal chord damage, so my voice faulters a bit, particularly if I'm not thinking about projecting into the mic, which this video is really one of the first where I play with that style. But I definitely appreciate the feedback, and as I make more videos, each one feels better to me overall, so hopefully things like that improve. Doing these videos has helped me improve my talking volume a bit overall as well. Amius is definitely a difficult boss. There are multiple answers, but yes, most people at least on Hard are going to need to manual him to time abilities right.
@@bront_catherder oh I can understand and it's not an up-and-down thing with your voice like faltering or whatever it's just the overall volume like if it were anything other than you just needing to turn up your microphone volume then you would have to be whispering or mumbling or something but I can understand and hear everything clearly it's just the input volume is really really low. I just wasn't sure if you were aware how low your input volume was and that it's hard to hear you. I imagine it might be easier to hear you on a phone because it's two channel but if you're not watching on a phone it's damn near impossible even with the cranked to hear. I was just trying to help you out because it would be entirely solved by giving it about 25 to 40% more volume on the microphone input. Your voice sounds strong to me. It honestly just sounds like your microphone volume is down at like 25% or something of that effect. I meant no disrespect I was just being sure you were aware and that it should just be something that could be fixed by turning up the microphone volume. And I feel like an ass and completely apologize if your microphone volumes all the way up in the input on your streaming program is also all the way up. But considering how low it was I don't feel like it's the case and it's definitely not an issue with your voice because I think your voice sounds great
I'm sorry for some reason your reply wasn't even coming up when I went to see it and I only could see the first several words in my notifications about your voice faltering so I didn't get to see the rest before replying and after applying is when your entire reply actually was loaded.. but I need to definitely download this stream and amplify its volume because on surround sound it's splitting your volume between all the speakers so when I turn it up the volume only goes up a tiny bit in each speaker instead of the overall volume going up for some reason. But yeah I would if you haven't already, because I'm a singer and when I project into a microphone, it crackles. And I'm using a professional studio mic but your mic looks to be a pretty good streaming style mic at casual glance so just make sure the mic direction is good and I'd say just turn the volume up an extra 25% if you can and make sure that it's all the way up on whatever you're streaming from. But use the main operating system microphone volume to adjust fine tune wise. I don't know if you're using OBS or streamyard or what but make sure the volume on the streaming things all the way up. Because I noticed the streaming programs are more extreme with what they do with the volume so it's best to leave one all the way up and work with it from either a knob on the microphone or the operating system but if you're using the novel in the mic make sure the operating system is turned all the way up also
It's honest feedback, so I appreciate it. I do try to test my audio vs other audio I consume. Sometimes it comes across better than others, and if I crank it much more, the quality goes down. I'll aim to be a bit more conscious about it, particularly as I may look into adding some sounds/background music type stuff to videos as I expand a bit more.
Also, I just did a relisten to the video while I have a twitch stream live, and the volumes were nearly identical, so maybe it's a surround sound issue? I know sometimes surround sound doesn't deal with speech well. Regardless, I'll monitor it because audio is a large part of the point of the videos :)
Nice team here. I'll see if I can copy some of the elements. Amius is certainly an annoying boss. I wonder if they reduce some of the rng with this boss to make it more enjoyable. Thanks for this video!
Just dropped by to say awesome thumbnail dude!
I appreciate it!

I noticed cooldown reductions sets Amius off and more often than not, instigates a wipe

If you are going to show champion stats for PvE content…you NEED to ALWAYS select the Area Bonuses for that area in the game!

Yo, thanks for the team - it worked - second amius slain
Congrats! It always feels good when you finish a tough boss.
I don't have Elva, who should I use as a substitute?

So pythion could work?@@bront_catherder
Absolutely. He's great as well for his passive and A1 heal as well as the AoE revive.

Yeah, lots of RNG and super frustrating and complicated mechanics make him a pain.
After the bug fix he's much easier.
