Thank you, thank you, thank you. I couldn't find any help to reposition the new start in the middle of a row. Your explanation was so easy to understand.

Thanks, that was helpful. I didn't know about turning the stitch back to zero.

Thanks, this is the first time I have been able to understand the process. Handiquilters are confusing.

I had a problem at the end when it was moving to the new beginning for the next row and I have no idea how to fix it. I hit the stop and can't get it going again and the cross hairs aren't even where they are supposed to be in relation to the quilt.

Lynda, The STOP button is only for EMERGENCIES. I'm guessing that if your machine was going to hit the frame bars, that would constitute an emergency. Try to use PAUSE when you can. STOP gets rid of everything...your placement and stitch location as well. Next time position back at the beginning of the row that you just stitched. Go to MODIFY > REPOSITION and click the START POINT. With your stitching now aligned, go to the beginning of that next row. Do the REPOSITION dance again.

@@KKsQuilts Thank you for responding. I am just learning and panicked. How do I find the beginning of the next row. Will it have a mark of some kind there? I haven't shut off the machine do I shut it off and restart? I am baffled as to what to do. I so appreciate your help! I don't remember seeing a pause button but I was hearing things that didn't sound right and the stop button was very visible. Next time I will pay closer attention.

@@lyndabuchholz1216 go to the beginning of the row you just stitched. (If you haven’t advanced the quilt…). Set the needle/ machine head over the start. If you set the start point there..you’ll see the start (green dot) for the next row. Mark that spot-stick a pin in it. Advance your quilt and do the reposition to the pin. Happy quilting!
