How would you rate Gachiakuta? How do you think it will grow in the next few years?
@@ShonenOuji i think it’s just going to skyrocket more then you could even imagine it’s a solid 8.27 out of 12
@@jaycobparadis9835 Show me the marine
I only read volume 1 and thought it was very good. However I am going to wait until the mangs concludes before I read the rest of the series. I prefer to read finished manga over ongoing.
honestly a 9.5/10 manga for me it does almost everything right. Art, storytelling, pacing, character designs, power system. its all great
gachiakuta is my personal favourite manga rn. I've been following it for a decent amount of time and i think the anime adaptation (if handled correctly) will make the series pop off.
A 7/10
I need Gachiakuta to succeed because it fills the hole in my heart left by Atsushi Ohkubo's work
Wait who is that pardon me asking
@@iffydoesit The person behind Soul Eater and Fire Force.
I mean surely it wont, it already has an anime adaptation incoming
I agree with this. As much as I love a lot of other battle shonens a little more, such as make the exorcist fall in love & dandadan, i still think gachiakuta has more potential to be the hit big among shonen fans. Like it has everything needed to succeed
- amazing and distinct artstyle
- interesting worldbuilding and powersystem
- well thought out plot
- cool characters and sick designs marketable for merch and cosplays
- story that feels open to a larger demographic ( from 13 to adulthood)
All it requires is for studio bones to give it an amazing adaptation, and the rest is history. I really hope it actually succeeds
Feels good to be wrong, huh?😅
Studio bones can’t make Gachiakuta in broad daylight like MHA was constantly because it has a very dark tone.
It literally starts with the protagonist falling into darkness. In addition to all the trash, the poverty and brutal society beneath.
Despite what people may say, I'm genuinely happy to say I was wrong. I gained a bit of a rep as a hater of the series, but like I said before, I've always wanted this series to do well. With time, I've only become more interested in the manga and I can't wait to see how it grows.
Contrary to popular belief, most studios generally have little to do with what an anime looks like or its overall quality but rather its director and staff and overall scheduling being why certain anime look better than others. It's why not every Mappa anime looks like Jujutsu Kaisen.
@@professorspectre5425yeah I know but it was rather frustrating to see my villain academia and paranormal liberation war in broad daylight as it were rather dark, dangerous and threatening story segments. MHA is of course in its core a rather happy go lucky series. Since it’s centered around high schoolers.
Gachiakuta is a darker, dirty and gritty series in its core. The characters rarely smile and most of the time are fighting for their survival. The protagonist can only cherish the little things in his life and is not afraid to show his dark side.
Very dark tone lmao
I was literally JUST starting to read this today when this video dropped 💀
I'm not saying I'm psychic, but the evidence speaks for itself.
Seems you came around to peakness lol, amazing video
Thanks!
Glad you took it back, gachiakuta is the illest new manga out rn
Great vid made me tingly and happy
Oh hey thanks man
Aye man, I think you should definitely check your Galaxias. It’s only 5 chapters right now, but it has lots of potential. The art is great, the power system is interesting, the world seems very fun and interesting and I think definitely gives off One Piece and Fairy Tail vibes. The two main characters I’d even say have a similar dynamic to Natsu and Lucy, but less whacky lol
Damnnn okay. I’m getting more than a few recommendations so I might have to read this sooner than I thought. Thank you.
well well how the turn tables (tl;dr at the bottom)
Jokes aside it great to see you come around and acknowledge mistakes you made it previous videos. Hope this doesn't come across as rude or mean spirited, but it would be great to see you looking back at old videos and correcting or updating your thoughts on it. I'm sure most you'd stand behind but at the very least you probably have more than few you have new thoughts on.
Anyway that aside it makes sense you didn't quite get the hype if you hadn't experienced Okubo's work before. I'm sure much like his works, this series will get more popular once an anime is out. Cause a slow burn series in manga format is a lot to invest in but an adaption tend to speed things up. Additionally, as most of us are used to WSJ series that need to appeal asap to survive, it's also not common to see battle shonen take it's time like this.
Now I do want to give you some credit that Gachiakuta was pretty average early on with it's artsyle being the most distinguishing thing. It wasn't until dealing with the vandals & Amo that we went above average. It's probably not until the most recent chapters that it's massive potential is plain to see. So hopefully not the fanbase is understanding of where you were coming from. It was easier for us to see the vision is all.
tl;dr Hope we get more of these "why I was wrong"/"what I now think about" video as it would be nice to see. Make sense that exposure to Okubo (and the research you did for other series in WSM) changed your perspective. However I do understand why your first impressions weren't strong. Also love to see the shoutout to Domo senpai's video. He's another creator I really enjoy & definitely the most dedicated Gachi fan
Thank you! And yeah that's a great idea. I generally acknowledge that sort of thing as side comments within video discussions, but I wanted to do this one because my perspective had changed so much and so many people felt this way. If that ever happens again like it did with the original video, I'll be the first one to start coming up with a response.
My First Impression of Gachiakuta:
Peak Pop Artistic Beauty!
Sometimes, it pays off to be wrong, and I'm only a couple volumes deep, but I like the aesthetic a lot, and the powers plus the designs of the characters/beasts are dope
The aesthetic is half the reason I love this manga.
@@ShonenOuji Let's go
Gachiakuta is very good
I just finished the first 23 chapters and i have say im very much impressed with characters and the world building. For me it wasn't slow start i thought it was nicely pace series.
Watch out for Galaxias too. It's a new Shonen Magazine series that gives some series One Piece vibes.
one piece but with dragons lol
This last few chapter’s showing more of Rudo’s power , as well as the main Villian’s ability . It’s been sooooo damn good ……. !!!!!
yeah, hopefully this series get more recognition alongside Chojin X,
btw what going with Gokurakugai, its continuing apperently but no one talks about it
I kinda agree.
I wasn't hooked up by this manga until the Amo arc. it was so good, the fights, the writing of characters (all of them) and the conclusion, I just couldn't stop reading.
I usually have issues remembering names of manga I read (part of this, is because I read a lot of them), so the few I can spell them without the need to Google it before, mean I really enjoy them. Gachiakuta is one of them
Yeah I heard about it. Seems cool I mean it seems fun
gotta jump on the train since jjk ending
Gachikuta is peak though not ganna lie, btw you should read GALAXIAS, it's so good and gives you some HxH, OP, FT vibes, must read!!!!
Thanks for the recommendation. I feel like I've heard of it before but I've never read it. Consider it added to my "need to read" list!
Where can someone check out Galaxias?
@@SamTheGumMan117 K Manga is how to read it officially, but the app kinda sucks lmao. But the easiest way to read it at the moment is to just check the Galaxias subreddit as it’s consistently there. New chapters come out every Tuesday

@ShonenOuji I strongly recommend Dorohedoro manga. It runs for 23 volumes. It has a great story, great art and a amazing cast.
the Next Big of the the Tomorrow Verse:
1. Dragon Ball = Dandadan
2. Naruto = Kagurabachi
3. Spy x Family = Sakamoto Days
4. Attack on Titans = Kaiju No. 8
5. Fire Force = Gachiakuta
i love seeing how authors like fujimoto and ohkubo have on newer mangakas like Kei Urana and Yukinobu Tatsu
You need to read make the exorcist fall in love is on mangaplus a jump plus series. I think you will love it.
The newest chapter is so gooddddd
I started reading gachiakuta volumes 1-4 and I had no idea the show was already coming and fire force is MY SHIT
the art makes me feel like uneasy and beware. It's stylized so much that it always makes me read it even when the chapter isn't engaging enough.
Vinland Saga is monthly Afternoon
Check out chapter 110 Tamsy is fucking crazy
Anime next year so its gonna be more popular i enjoy it
SJ has a higher axe rate than any other manga company
I love Gachiakuta but my main problem with it is how forgettable the name is, bc its one of my fav new gen manga yet I can never remember its name, and with its fathers, fire force and soul eater, they have very english-based names that are easy to say and remember🤷♂️
I kinda agree. I’m a language nerd that fully respects IPs being Called by their native pronunciation but I would be a lying if I said I don’t still reflexively mix up gachiakuta with other series sometimes even though I actively follow it
Honestly because there isnt as much fanservice (which honestly kinda put me off of the series) on top of the wrold building and the slow moving pace which just makes those fights hit just that much harder I think this manga if animated correctly could FAR surpass fireforce.
Is the manga still being continued?
Yes and its getting interesting
Great

Now do a vid on Nue's Excorsit
hope is gets the mob psycho 100 treatment
Finally some soul eater representation 😢
Gachi taking mha spot and kagurabachi taking jjks
I think evryones hapy you took the L with your previous prediction.
Needs an anime adapt and then it blows up bigbtime
Getting an anime adaptation doesn't mean it's actually good, there is a reason why isekai, harem and wish-fulfillment are at the top of the market but they get replaced by something else once a week, everything is getting an animation in an attempt to revitalize a good show, something to really last, something people latch on and don't let go
Bleach wouldn't be as popular as it was, if it were released today
MHA would be in shambles if it would start this year
Hell, if JJK followed Bleach's formula from back in the day the fan base would be one guy in the corner yelling Bankai to himself
People are waiting for something good even it has plot holes, shallow characters, the worst fan service known to man or no world building they'll take it and praise it to gods
Everyone's so hungry for something good that they would take sub-par and eat it up, just because it has one tiny single thing good about it.
Some mangakas have god-like artistic styles, so good you'll forget about the MC being the worst thing about their story or all of a sudden flips their personality 180 and the whole story makes -100% less sense, abuse sexualization and treating women like objects treated like a gag slapping "culture" on it and calling TOP anime to watch this winter
I really wish we had better standards
I wish jerks like you did not act bloody condescending towards others! If any manga gets an anime it does not bloody automatically mean it is bad! If anything it shows that the manga is actually good and you need to remove the stick up you a$$! I won't deny that isekai anime are overexposed but that does not mean fans can get a few gems amongst the rubbish. Gachikuta is a gem. I have not read the other volumes but even I can tell it is a hit!
Maybe try reading the manga or watch the adaptation before you blindly judge!
@user-ff8pm7ie6s Maybe you should try being less condescending! Seriously do not bloody assume that a manga getting adapted means it sucks. Your disrespectful attitude sucks!
You just sound like a miserable person...
How the fuk are you an everything hater?
Well...what do you think of gachiakuta? You never spoke about your thoughts on it just that you don't think an anime adaptation = good quality which your right but I'm still curious.
